Made reservations ahead of time and came herewith a large group for a friends birthday. Waited over half an hour for menus and had to ask several times. Server was extremely busy. Was confused because when you go inside by the bar the female owner was just standing there eating while her staff were busy. I was excited to try this menu as it had items I had not seen in a menu in a while. 3 of us ordered Coquille st Jacques... no one liked it. 2 people ate it because they are hungry and your not going to wait another 2 hours for food. I didn't eat it as it was digusting and not edible and very dry. Owner was upset I didn't eat it and said she serves hundred of them. The lobster bisque was literally a tomato soup, fish and chips looked like Something you buy from a box at the grocery store and was so overcooked it was like chewing leather. Shrimp gratin was in about a 1/4 cup of oil, was spice, over cooked and just disgusting!! Caesar salad came in with a closed plastic cup like I had just ordered from a chip stand and dressing was digusting. Clearly nothing at this restaurant is homemade. Ewe ewe ewe !! Server was great. Owner was extremely rude and clearly needs a dose from Gordon Ramsey on good food and customer service. Could not pay me to go back here. I had to add to this because I see the owner commented on my review complementing the food as though she is a customer. Wow! That's hilariously ridiculous! 😂😂😂 Get over yourself lady. You're not even 3.5 stars. That's terrible reviews!

It was our first time at Le Pirate and overall, the food was good but some plates were a bit pricey for the quantity. The pasta with shrimp, lobster and chorizo was great but would had prefer an alfredo sauce as the taste of the tomato sauce was taking over all other ingredient. The steak and frite was good but the size of the steak a bit underwhelming. The melting Brie cheese was just awesome. The terrace was filled and we were not able to get a seat outdoor, so I suggest making resrvation in advance if you want to take advantage of the terrace and great view of the water. Our waitress, Alexandra, was great.

It must be 5:00 somewhere right so we just dropped in to have a glass of wine and a beer, cleanest patio I have ever seen. Makes a big difference trust me, we were joined by a couple of our neighbours who just happened to know the owner so we got to meet him and his wife as well. Nice glass of wine perfect size great price what can be any better than that. It was really nice to meet you Michel looking forward to spending my birthday at your reserve table in September. Have an awesome evening you have a great place, stay safe😉😉

Third time here, should have stopped at 2. If zero or negative stars were available, it would be an appropriate rating for Le Pirate. The service has always been slow but the unique atmosphere and food made it an acceptable fault. Unfortunately the third time is definitely NOT the charm and the night we invite another couple to join us (a Tuesday btw) is when the experience went from tolerable to completely incompetent. We ordered 3 appetizers, one for each my husband and I and one for our guests to share. My husband and I were served ours. We waited a bit and at our company's urging, tentatively started to eat our apps, assuming theirs would be along shortly. Halfway through we asked our server about their app and he assured us it was coming. We finished ours and another 30 minutes passed without their food coming, or any updates on it, offers for drinks or any acknowledgement whatsoever. In this time the table beside us received their main course. Completely disgusted by this time we decided to pay for what we'd had and leave. When my husband went to the servers station to tell them we wanted to settle up and forget the rest of the order, we were then advised EVERYTHING was now ready. Relunctanlty we agreed to pay for it all and take it to go. We were not offered and apology nor any amount discounted on what ended up being an over two-hundred dollar order. To add insult to injury, we arrived home to find 2 out of the 4 orders wrong. Beyond disgusted, we'll not be returning to Le Pirate. Stuff happens, I get it... but it's how you resolve it that matters. Le Pirate made it clear to us that we didn't matter as...

The best fish and chips I've had in a long long time. What makes it good is the whole filet used, you really get fish, unlike other places where you need to search for the fish among the batter.

The batter was good, although not fluffy but rather flat and seemed a bit overcooked - there was a layer of uncooked batter against the fish. They can surely come up with a better batter recipe than cap'n highliner fish in a box.

The price is a bit on the high side especially that the fries are few, and are frozen pre-made (probably Costco); the coleslaw came in a covered plastic receptacle as did the sauce. This fast food-truck like presentation of the plate does not warrant 23$ + drinks and tip.

We also ordered a virgin mojito which was basically soda water or sprite with a few mint leaves and a slice of lemon, very sweet so there might have been some store bought syrup in it. This costs 6$ - a bit much for something slapped together without much care.

The highlight was the service. Our server was fast, attentive, and polite.

I'll probably go again, but not in the...
