We visited Attelier Archibald with friends on a Thursday night. The outdoor patio seemed really packed with a live signer but we were basically alone inside. We ordered cocktails and entrées, pizzas and the scallops. We received our cocktails and had enough time to drink them completely before the entrées arrived (about 45 minutes). The food was really delicious, they made a vegetarian pizza that was not on the menu to accomodate my vegetarian friend and she said it was delicious as well. We then ordered coffee and the creme brûlées trio. It took half an hour to receive those and they were the tiniest I have ever seen. Really expensive for what turned out to be the equivalent of one egg and a tablespoon of sugar. The vanilla and cocoa flavors tasted exactly the same. But really the most upsetting part was how ridiculously slow the service was. Really disappointing considering the food...

I ordered a fried chicken, general tao style and got the biggest ever Chicken drumstick ( so big I wonder if it was truly chicken) and....raw!!! Not undercooked... raw and bloody too. Never in all my life have I been served bleeding chicken. Seriously! This is quite the health hazard.
The waitress took the plates back and what we got back was the exact same reheated plate. So, now i'm supposed to eat the bloody mess, but in addition, the meat is dry and the fried bits are burnt. Absolutely disgusting!
They tried to apologize by giving us the smallest, most ordinary creme brulee, but they didn't seemed the least bothered by the incident. I had a 60$ completely wasted on this intolerable meal.
I will never go back to Atelier Archibald, ever. I would be scared to. Even the tomato soup in entrée was bleh! I've had better...
Read moreHighly rated GastroPub which really offer a great ambiance. We really enjoy the look both inside and outside on the patio! So it was a great start.
Now first fumble has been their beer selection, which is “lean” in to say the least. But all right in letting this one go as they don’t advertise themselves as a beer place. The wine and cocktails selection was extensive however!
The food however was underwhelming. We had Fried Wagyu Dumplings which were tasteless (they could have been pork) and their Cheese Fondant was promising but was pretty basic.
As for the service, mostly good but they made a few mistakes around our side selections but corrected with no hassle.
So in a nutshell, great spot, ok food , nice service. Avoid if you are into beers or looking for amazing taste, but you’ll enjoy the patio and cocktails/wine...
