I was asked if I wanted sparkling water or still. I answered in english since my guests were from the United Stated and wanted to make them feel comfortable. Instead, I got a snarky comment on how suddenly I chose to speak english. Afterwards I asked for the table’s bill and mentioned the event to the waitress (a different one).
