On our visit across the province, this was a very welcome stop... Didn't hurt that it was the hottest location in Newfoundland at the time on a beautiful summers sunny day. The building was quite nice, very clean with a large and, also clean, washroom. The staff was very friendly (haven't had a bad customer experience at a subway yet but this was above the others) and the guy serving us was very attentive and made sure he got it right (if the manager is reading this, our visit was on Aug 4th 2018 between 3-6pm...this employee deserves a raise or promotion). It was my first time having a veggie sub and I have to say that it was possibly the best sub I ever had (subway or elsewhere). Bread was very fresh(I've had the displeasure of having slightly stale bread at other locations) and toppings were in abundance. The only thing that I would like to see at this location that wasn't there would be outside seating... Even a picnic table or two. I definitely would recommend this location for quick, fresh and tasty eating... And having the healthy option in a world of terribly unhealthy fast food is a big bonus for us. Read moreWent through the drivethru with no cars behind me. After I started ordering a couple pulled in behind me. The worker/owner (I found out later) forgot to ask me if I wanted to make it a meal. When we got to the window, he remembered to ask. As I was asking my daughter what she wanted, he motioned to us and said "Hurry up. Figure it out," in a rude tone. He never gave us a chance to reply before telling us to "Hurry up". It wasn't our fault he forgot to ask. After telling us to "Hurry up," we still had to wait 5 minutes for our order, so I don't know what he was in a rush about. He made me and my daughter feel very uncomfortable like we were doing something wrong. I've been there many times and never had an issue with any of the workers, but the owner is a very rude and unprofessional person. I understand why the turnover rate is so high at the business. Read moreSo, I've gotten the impression this subway is stingy, but this takes the cake. I will admit I am unsure if this is a location thing or an across the board change. I ordered a breakfast Sausage cheese and egg sub this morning, to find that the "new" portion of sausage is half of what it use to be. For anyone that's been eating these for the past few years, you would know there use to be 4 sausage patties... mine had 2 patties, cut in half. When asked about this change, the clerk asked if I had been ordering them with double meat before.. (nope). SOOO, same price, 1/2 the meat, What a lovely way to make a couple extra bucks off the consumer. Wont be ordering...
