If I could have put 0 stars that would be more deserving. I have tried 3 different times to pre-order a birthday cake for my child 3 different years. Each and every time I have gone to pick up the cake it is never ready and I am told we can have it done in less than 20 minutes. The last visit was the last straw. My son wanted a Luigi themed birthday party and begged me to get a Dairy Queen ice cream cake with Luigi dabbing. So I placed the order several days before his birthday on their website, which didn't require me to pay in advance but gave a confirmation number saying it was placed and if there was any problems the staff would contact me. It confirmed it would be ready by 12:30pm which would be perfect because my son didn't get out of school until 2pm and this location, which is the fastest, is about 20 minutes away from my house, so I could get it there in the freezer with lots of time to spear to pick him up from school. So I get there on the pick up day at 12:38pm at which time they go in the back to look. One staff member comes out and says he doesn't see it and asks specifically what it looks like, so I told him. He goes back into the back room foe about 5-8 minutes, by this time it's about 12:50pm. A male and female staff member come out and the male staff member explains that their computer system crashed and they never received my order, that it was back up and running now and they could make me a cake but it wouldn't be the same one because they never received the order, but to make the cake it's going to take between 10 minutes to 20 minutes. So I grabbed a sponge bob cake they happened to have prepared and asked for them to put happy birthday with my son's name in blue frosting, I didn't have time to wait for them to make a cake not to mention this new sponge bob cake was a bigger size meaning going to cost me more. While I was waiting for the sponge bob cake to be decorated the female staff member was bold enough to say well if you really placed it online how did you do it? I explained what happened and I received an email confirmation, at which point she said rudely, well if that were the case and you really did place it you would have an email don't you think. Shocked and frustrated, I started looking for the email in my phone, but was interrupted by the new cake being dropped onto the counter and sliding towards me. And the blue frosting I asked to say happy birthday to my son, well that was a dark green, at least his name was spelt right, the cake, design and frosting colors were all wrong, but they did get his name right. The 2 staff members I was dealing with walked away, and only because I chose to, I paid for the cake.
So in the end, I got treated extremely poorly, made to feel as though I was a liar and got to buy a bigger cake with no discount at that time.
This locations management did contact me back after I launched a complaint, however they again painted a different story then what I was told and offered me a 10 percent discount. Because I was told several different reasons why my cake was not ready and then just offered a poor 10 percent discount, I will never buy from this...
Read moreThis location has lost our family and friends as customers. We bought an ice cream cake which is a tradition and something we get for everyone in our family on their birthday. Sadly nobody was able to enjoy it, as the taste of cleaner / chemicals was so overpowering. When we returned the cake the next day, the staff were ignorant and rude. They took the cake in the back and apparently tried it. Who would sample a cake a customer returned?? They then proceeded to tell us that the cake tasted fine. We asked for a manager/supervisor and at first they refused to get them, and then disappeared to the back 'once again', only to return and tell us that the manager/supervisor wasn't answering their phone. We will continue to spread the word and encourage anyone thinking of visiting this DQ.. to stay...
Read moreI have a birthday boy who wanted an ice cream blizzard cake made of half Oreo and half Reese PB cups. So I called as asked if it was possible to get half and half, I was told yup no problem. Early the next morning I got a call from an employee who wanted to know if I really wanted both flavours. I said yes and I very much felt like I was inconveniencing this person. She told me there would be an additional charge, I agreed. I picked up the cake later that day. As we are eating it, were searching for the Oreo section with no pb cups, except there isn't any. They mixed both flavours together. This is not half and half, it was not what was ordered or confirmed by the lady who took my order and I was charged more. I am not impressed and will not order a cake from this...
