Better Than Fred's — Restaurant in Grande Prairie

So we ordered take out for my birthday yesterday, and everything was soooo goooood. Was much quicker than I thought it would be! The ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars was the boneless wings are 👎🏼. I remember them being huge and delicious. They looked like the little pork bites you get from Chinese restaurants. My mom ordered the sample platter and was a little disappointed that her favourite parts of her meal were the beans and cornbread 😅. My nana ordered the pulled pork (which is also in the sampler) and it was quite dry and maybe could’ve used more sauce 😅. It took us like 8 minutes to get home and we unboxed immediately so everything was still hot and fresh! The packaging was phenomenal on the order, my mom will be back she says but maybe won’t order the sampler again 😅. I used to regularly visit this place every Thursday for like 3 years in 2016-2019 (which is how I know the boneless wings have changed lol). Menu hasn’t changed which is a STAPLE don’t change a good thing! I always recommend going here! Ps. Best spin dip in town. Hands down. Recently had take out beef dip here.... it was delicious. But that's not the point of my review.

My point it that I just got WAY above and beyond service.

Last time (6 months ago) I ordered here, I also wanted beef dip to go. There was a mistake and I got the wrong order. I only noticed when I got back to my shop and there really wasnt time to return and get it corrected. I'm not mad about this, mistakes do happen, and I get it and I accept it.

So on this trip (6 MONTHS LATER) I order before I come just like last time. When I show up, the first thing out of my waitress's mouth is. "Hey, were you the one that the last time you ordered you ended up with the wrong lunch?" She comped my lunch (which I wasn't even remotly expecting) and said that it had been bothering her for a long time.

Gurrrrrlllll. That is a DAME sharp memory! Thanks for making my day! You made me feel special and I appriciate it.

I love this bar/ restaurant every time I come I have such a great time. Today was not one of those days, I had a waitress (red hair) that was honestly really rude she was more obligated to her larger tables. We waited 50 min before her coming to talk to us to get bill. We watched her go to 4 other tables 3 sets of times before even looking at is. We ordered appetizers ( spinach and gold rush boneless wings.) the spinach dip had a huge hair in it. Waitress never even talked to us about anything. ( was going to order dinner as well) Got fed up so I went to get pool balls and to pay for bill and the bartender was so beyond rude it was disgusting , (black hair) he rolled his eyes and didn’t even look at me / ask if I needed anything. When I asked for my card back he made me lean over counter to get it and gave me the rudest attitude, these two staff members I’ve never met before have ruined my experience. I tip well and have a great time here but today I didn’t feel respected at all,...
