Edo Japan — Restaurant in Grande Prairie

I visited Edo Japan today, and it was a complete disappointment.

Food:

The sushi fell apart before I could even pick it up.

The teriyaki rice with meat was almost tasteless – just dry rice with barely any sauce.

The ramen was incredibly greasy, with a taste that reminded me of a dirty cleaning rag.

Service:

The cashier either didn’t understand or ignored my request. I specifically ordered to dine in, but they packed my food for takeout instead.

The best table in the restaurant was occupied by the staff, who had their belongings scattered all over it, watching videos loudly and chatting over the already loud restaurant music.

Atmosphere:

The place was messy and unorganized. Some tables were randomly pushed together in a way that made them unusable.

The dining area felt more like an employee break room than a restaurant.

I do not recommend this place to anyone. Eating here is simply...

I was at this location not long ago, I ordered my usual 'Trio' (chicken, beef & 6 fried shrimp) most stores that I've been to are fluent with what a 'Trio' is, was a legit menu item at one point. Haven't had any problems with other stores. Anyway, the wife and kids had also placed their order along with mine. We get out order number and get the kids seated and we wait for our number to be called. A few minutes later our order was called and everyone's order is there except mine. So I looked at the receipt sure enough it wasn't rung in. I asked the lady at the front and she didn't know what I meant by 'Trio', but yet proceeded to ring in our order not clarifying my order. I eventually get my order while the rest of my family is done and waiting on me, wasn't the family time I anticipated. The tables/floors were sticky as well, which is a first, considering all the other locations...

Very bad customer service, June 27 around 9:55 PM, I went to order for a kids meal for my daughter, once I enter the counter the first word came from the cashier is, "ONLY TAKE OUT" in a very rude manner, I said no problem and I want to order a Chicken with noodles Kids Meal, and they made it beef, I told her I ordered for chicken not beef, she insisted that I said Beef in an angry tone of voice, and she started to talk in their language with her co-workers, which I believe its filippino language and everyone was looking at me at that time. Her name is "Ella", very bad customer service and very rude attitude, finally I ended up getting my little girl's kids meal with a lot of sauce which no one can ever eat that much sauce almost like a soup.....I hope the owner read this and make their employees to respect the customers and give us what...
