I edit this review every few months. I am a regular at New York Fries, and I always order a large poutine and a coke, totalling to around 16 dollars if I'm correct. I have been having this issue lately where if I order a poutine around 4:30 pm or later, it is INEDIBLE. The gravy in the poutine tastes overcooked, like burnt moldy cabbage, and it has this noticeable overcooked gravy smell in the bag. Every time I try a poutine with this overcooked gravy I nearly throw up and I get lightheaded. My mom thinks they use "yesterday's gravy", or they don't change the gravy until the next day before the mall opens. This has been a problem for months and still hasn't been resolved. I will no longer be going here past 4:30 PM. If you want to know what I'm talking about, buy a poutine before 3 PM, and buy another one around closing time. Read moreWe have been passing through Grande Prairie on our way to our destination and had to stop to grab one thing we forgot so we stopped at the mall. Of course kiddos got hungry so we decided to grab something quick to eat there and OMG so glad the kids chose the New York Fries!!! What a spectacular service! We all chose poutine bd I must say it was the right choice. It was DELICIOUS!!! My picky eaters agreed and would say it made their top five list of the best poutine they ever had😉.
