Moxies Grande Prairie Restaurant — Restaurant in Grande Prairie

I recently visited this restaurant with my friend, and unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience. The food arrived incredibly quickly—within just a few minutes—which was surprising and concerning in terms of quality and preparation.

The real issue, however, was the behavior of our server. She was extremely rude and made us feel unwelcome. Just a few minutes after serving our food, she came back and asked if we wanted to pack our food and leave. She repeated this question twice more in quick succession, despite the restaurant being mostly empty, with only three other occupied tables out of a lots of free table.

Her repeated attempts to rush us out were disrespectful and made us feel like we were being pushed out of the restaurant. It felt particularly uncomfortable and discriminatory, as both my friend and I are not Canadian, while the server was.

In the end, another waitress was sent to check on us, but by that point, the damage was done. We left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. I normally avoid leaving negative reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I felt compelled to share it. I hope the management addresses this issue so that no other customers have to endure...

HORRIBLE experience from a server in the lounge this afternoon, she was very unprofessional, unclean and unfriendly. When we first came in and sat down there were already unhappy customers getting their food packed up to go because they were so upset with their server, they didn’t even want to stay and eat their meal. We originally planned on eating here but it took forever to even order and receive our drinks and even then did not get what we asked for, she dropped my straw on the floor and didn’t even get another one, I had to get up and ask for one. Then charged us the wrong amount and argued it VERY rudely, all to find out she was In the wrong and asked the bartender to come and deal with us because she didn’t want to come back to our table and admit she was wrong. It was not busy in there and there were several empty dirty tables that were left that way the entire time of us being here. We were absolutely blown away with how poor the service was, we decided to go somewhere else and eat and had a much better experience with excellent service. Definitely will not be going back to Moxies in the future and do not recommend wasting...

I have been to moxies 3 times in the last month and each and every time I am very surprised at such amazing service. I read one comment about getting one or the other food or service. Everything I have ordered off the menu has been superb and fair prices. I believe if there is value to something it shines through in how much it costs and it exceeds on how good it is comparatively. As for service it's good to remember that your waitress and everyone in that place are still human and people have bad days, call in sick and sometimes things just plain dont work that day. In that being said the staff has done incredible and have done quite well for me every time. Tonight I was seated where I wanted to with no wait my server was prompt and catered to us with haste all night. They have made tuna pokè a new menu favorite for me and the cauliflower hot wings live up to expectations. Thank you moxies for providing an amazing spot to eat...
