I read the reviews before coming. The recent reviews were pretty decent so I thought I’d give it a try. When I arrived and previewed the menu, I really wanted to leave. This place serves everything from the Japanese to Chinese to even Vietnamese pho cuisine. I’ve never been to a place that was good at all three cuisines. I was hoping that they specialize in sushi since it’s in the name. As I was craving sushi to begin with I stuck to the Japanese portion of the menu. The sashimi and sushi and sushi rolls that I ordered arrived. The sushi (2 pieces of Saba - mackerel) were excellent and the salmon hand cone was also delicious. The sashimi plate however was not so good. It was water logged, like eating a sponge. When biting the octopus, squishy noises would occur as the water logged octopus gave up all the moisture for my taste buds. My assorted tempura didn’t arrive until I asked about it and he said it was just finished. Yeah I don’t think so as it was luke warm and super greasy. I think they forgot my order and just took some of the takeout that was finished and gave it to me. Very disappointing, maybe I should have had a fried rice instead. Anyways, not my cup of tea. I won’t be back. 3 stars given due to the good saba and hand cone to balance the rest of the meal.

If your looking for Japanese cuisine, this is my number 1 place to go. Awesome service, and awesome food. In the picture is the 10pc super spider roll, pretty much just a dynamite roll but more bigger, more filling, and the perfect amount of crisp, seriously recommend. We also had the sweet n sour pork, which was very good too. Wasn't soggy, the sauce was perfect, and it also came with a side of rice. The thing i love about this place is that whenever you go there, you never get a dish thats mediocre, its always made perfectly. This place is a must whenever your in GP. 10/10

Had a chance to try many Japanese places in Grande Prairie. This place is definitely one of the top Japanese restaurants in the city. Went there 4 times in 3 weeks since our first visit. The price is not expensive for the quality of food you will get. Rolls have good quality ingredients and we love Soft Clam in our Spider rolls. Chirashi sushi is recommended if you enjoy raw fish. The amount of sashimi is just right and worth the relatively high price dishes. We also tried Yakisoba and found that we could use some more beef in the dish but the taste is good.

We have been eating here since 2021. We usually have the same waiter or waitress, and we went there and a new waitress (who was NOT serving us) came up to us and said to us do you want me to pack up your food well my husband was still eating. Our bill to eat there is usually between $60 and $80 dollars. We have brought friends in there to eat. It's highly rude and disrespectful to approach customers while they're eating and ask them to pack up their food. No, we pay to eat in and we have PAID to eat in there like anybody else. I told my regular waiter how she was rude. As a general rule, a customer will tell you if they want a to go bag to take their stuff with them. You don't ask them if they want to pack up their food because it makes you seem like you want them out of the restaurant, or there's a time limit of how fast they need to eat and leave. It was not busy in there and was plenty of empty table space all over the restaurant. I don't think there's an excuse for rudeness. I believe she knew she...

We were a group (~30 ppl) that was asked to preorder about a week in advance so they could have everything. I would not go here as a group again. First, we ended up being told that they did not have the lemon ice cream that was on their menu. So...what was the point of preordering a week in advance to have everything only to not have everything. Some people got their food in 15 mins, others it took an hour just to get the food. One person actually got someone else's order because they had told him it was chicken Yakosoba (which was what he had ordered) only it was not the chicken Yakosoba. I had the chicken Teryiaki but it was the worst, it had no flavor and the chicken was overcooked and dry. Someone else got something with chicken in it that was so overcooked it was inedible. If a restaurant can't handle large groups, they should not let large...
