We have been the The Appollo several times but this time was not a good experience. The Service was slow and one of owners not Tula ticked us off when she noticed that we were still expecting three more people. When she asked me if they were coming I said I wasn't sure. Well she said that's too bad because we could have used the table because they were turning people away. I was totally taken back with her remark. All 7 of us were ready to walk out when our other guests arrived. Later I had words with her and she apologized. This was my birthday dinner which started as a real downer. My lamb chop was over overcooked and I could hardly cut it. I never got my Greek salad which came with the meal. Just a bad experience for us this time. ALSO they do not provide a handicap bathroom. I find this strange since there are so many seniors in Sudbury. How can a person in a wheel chair climb stairs to go to the bathroom. It's about time they cater to the seniors and update their bathroom facilities after all they have been I business for...
Read moreI had my Birthday supper here last night and I was so impressed. The restaurant is very clean and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The menu offered many choices, both traditional and non. We started with the saganaki which was both visually stunning and delicious. We also ordered the Apollo Board which included a stunning array of dolmades, spanakopita, meatballs, calamari, feta, olives, tzaziki and pita wedges. Everything was amazing! The dolmades were delicate and flavorful and the spanakopita was flaky and golden. We also ordered a greek salad which was made with incredibly fresh ingredients and we also ordered some perfectly grilled skewers of succulent pork & chicken souvlaki. For dessert we enjoyed a delicious slice of Boston Cream Cake. The service was impeccable and our attentive waitress was eager to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. The Apollo is a true gem and an absolute must-try. I wholeheartedly give it a well-deserved 5-star rating and will definitely...
Read moreReservation was made for diner at 6:30 pm this past Sunday. We selected a 5 course meal with wine. Food and service was very good until we were informed in the middle of our meal (around 7:40) that the place was closing at 8:00 pm. We were told by the waitress to take our time but after the bill was paid, we were rushed to finish our drinks and basically been rudely told by the owner to leave as she was anxious to close the restaurant. I definitely won't return to the Apollo. The lack of consideration for my friend who has been a long time good customer was unacceptable. The gentleman, who made the reservation for a dinner for 2 requesting a quiet table, should have been informed or reminded of the Sunday early closing time. There was enough indication that this wasn't an “eat and go” type of reservation. This restaurant is now on...
