This past Saturday my boyfriend, my dad and I went out to celebrate my dad’s birthday by going out to eat at Lot 88 in Sudbury, ON. This was my first and will be my last time ever going there. I have worked in customer service for 8 years now and am usually very understanding because of it, but unfortunately I feel like I need to share my experience so they can grow from this and so people with diet restrictions can visit Lot 88 cautiously in the future. Where do I begin, I ordered two of the Rosé sangrias which tasted nothing like each other and more like two completely separate drinks. We probably waited an hour or an hour and a half for our food to be served and for my order to be served wrong. I ordered the butternut squash ravioli with no shrimp as I am a vegetarian. I have been a vegetarian long enough that when cross-contamination happens, I get deathly ill to the point it’s basically become a food allergy. The waitress repeated no shrimp when I ordered, which myself, my boyfriend and my dad all heard. She apologized saying that she didn’t hear but we all think she just forgot since she was so busy chatting with her friends at another table most of the night. She then asked if I wanted a to-go container which made us feel rushed and like she just wanted us to go so I said yes. When she came back with the container she had a condescending comment about my food having no protein. We were offered 60% off only my pasta dish to compensate for the inconvenience. By the time, my food was remade properly and we had paid it was 2 hours after being seated without me eating a meal. When I got home, I opened my container to see 6 pieces of ravioli that tasted like generic pre-made ravioli that you get at Food Basics or Costco. The only compliment I can give to Lot 88 is that they had clean bathrooms

First time having a meal at Lot 88 Steakhouse, and by goodness what a FANTASTIC meal it was! I've never been to a place that let me bring my own personally made spice mix from home, and even use it at my request when ordering my steak dinner and ribs! Every bite of the food was cooked to perfection and the iced tea served to me was cold and deliciously high quality! My server, Eastyn, did a fantastic job of checking in regularly to make sure everything was alright with my food, making sure i had regularly topped up drinks, and answering any questions i had and checking in the back to the kitchen for me to see if i was allowed to use my personal spice mix in the first place. She was extremely polite, kind, and quick on her feet in bringing the food to me and my friend who were eating there today, and the speed of the kitchen was superb! As i spent a good amount of time there, Eastyn had to leave as her shift was over before my meal was done, but her replacement Jade was no slouch and did her job very well too, making sure everything was up to the standards as my previous server. I thank both of them for their hard work, and i thank the kitchen chefs for the WONDERFUL meal served to me on this day. From the pleasantly warm and friendly greeting, to the warm and kind goodbye given to me as i left, I've nothing but positive things to say about my first time experience with the Lot 88, and i hope to have the time to go back sometime soon!

I was here to celebrate with my family and friends. Being from San Francisco, California, I was excited to have good time, enjoy food. We were party of 6 and we all ordered different drinks and shareable food apart from Main course for everyone separate. I was expecting to have better service from server when we are spending easily $50-$60 per person (including main course and drinks). One of our main course plate out of 6 plates was salmon plate. One of our guest who ordered the plate had 5 bones in her first five bites. We asked server to check on it. Server kept on disregarding the fact the our guest didn’t eat any thing from plate as we were waiting for manager as she informed us manager will be there to talk. Server came back 4 times to tell us there is no guarantee that there will be no bones in salmon, usually there can be 1 bone here and there but if there is more than one my manager would like to see.. mind it she (server) actually looked into the plate and counted how many bones are there in plate. We still kept ourself calm and collected that yes food industry. May b one bone left and manager will be here to talk to us. But No manager came to talk to us. Server kept disrespecting us and our guest as if we didn’t know what Salmon looked like or how its prepared or how it should be after cooking. She had the audacity to keep saying the salmon is usually with the bones. Now I will leave other people/ customer to be the judge if salmon in such establishment are usually with bones or not. Because for me this was my first time ever. Due to server’s bad attitude and disrespect towards us, we didn’t tip her I would normally tip in California. After paying and everything. Server comes back to our table and complained that we didn’t tip her well. In opinion she was not even worth if $5.00. If we dba afford to pay $350 for food we can pay better tip as well. It’s because of her attitude and no show from manager...

We tried this place for the first time last Friday and it was one of the worst dining experiences that we've ever had. First off, the Ceasar drinks were $11 each since they automatically bring you a double if you don't specify otherwise, and they came very watered down. We had to send them back and get new ones made, and even the waitress made a comment about how they didn't look right when she was bringing them over, but she decided to bring them anyways apparently? Secondly, I ordered chicken and ribs with fries. The chicken was ok but the fries had to be sent back cause they were rock hard in the middle, so not cooked throughout, and the ribs tasted like they had been in the fridge for a very long time before they were reheated and served to me. They were lukewarm in the middle at best, and tasted awful, almost like the meat was past its prime, or they had just been in the fridge for a few days. They were the worst ribs I've ever tasted in my life, and my husband and brother also tried them and agreed with me. The manager came over to apologize and offered to make me a new plate but I declined as we had somewhere to be. She took 50% off the price of my plate which was fine. I asked her if the ribs were made fresh and she said yes, but after more talk between us, she admitted that they cook them in advance and then refrigerate them during the day and then heat them up per order. They even charge more than the keg for the same plate ($29) which is ridiculous. Overall, this was a terrible dining experience and we...
