I got a latte and my partner had a black coffee... Both were good. We decided to try a few baked goods and the chocolate cake muffin was absolutely disgusting. I know there's beets in it, which we love...but it wasn't just that earthy taste. It actually tasted moldy. We couldn't eat it and had it out...a complete waste of money. My bagel was so hard on some parts. It kind of felt stale and I could barely chew it. And when my partner went to eat their frittata the English muffin had the same issue. I tell we actually banged it on our counter and it sounded like a hard knock... I had to take the egg off and make a completely new sandwich on bread we had at home so that was definitely not worth the $6 for a tiny piece of egg I then had to remake the sandwich myself. The price for the food was not worth what I got so I'd maybe go for coffee but I would never go there for food again. The staff were okay. They weren't rude or anything, but sort of ignored me. I'm a very personable person and I was talking and stuff and I just felt a little dismissed and barely looked at as I waited for my food. The atmosphere inside was cozy...
Read moreI recently visited a coffee shop where I complimented the manager with a playful remark, saying, "You must be good at hide and seek because beautiful people are hard to find." The manager, who appeared to be around my age, about 50 years old, responded by saying she didn’t appreciate the comment and that 90% of women wouldn’t like it either. She added that I should stick to ordering my coffee and simply saying hello and thank you. I found her response quite odd and unwelcoming, as it felt more like she was projecting her personal preferences onto customers and dictating how they should behave. In my view, an establishment should foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, not one where personal biases create discomfort for patrons. I’m sure my playful personality and business would be welcome at other places, where a bit of lightheartedness and friendliness might be better...
Read moreCinnamon roll is pretty good, the ice maple latte wasn't stirred property, and even once I mixed it properly it was still rather bitter so maybe ask for extra sweetness. The hot version I got of that as well was warm but not even remotely hot at all and the maple flavor isn't prominent whatsoever. Likely it isn't stirred property as well. The bagels look home made but my gf says it feels like it's missing something on it and it was a little extra crispy and shaped a little disformed. The strawberry fruit latte looks and tastes like blueberry, it's still good but nothing fancy. The inside was really cute from what we seen outside and the staff were nice! we'll try it out one more time and if it is disappointing again we won't be coming back.
But it's a new establishment so give it a try, maybe you'll find...
