Against my better judgement having eaten here a few years back I took my family to dinner at the buffet. $94 dollars for 2 adults and 1 child. Let me walk you through it. Approach the entrance and the windows are covered in condensation. There are handwritten messages on bristol board in permanent marker about letting your server know it is your birthday for a special something or other. We are seated in a booth that has the seat taped with brown duct tape. The cutlery is spotted and grease smeared. I order water. I order a (watered down) ginger ale. Green tea that never arrives. The buffet is limited most of it is recycled. By recycled I mean a few fresh items are placed in with all day items. The chow mein tastes of some sort of auto lubricant. The chicken balls are rubbery inside a breaded rock crust. I wanted to eat some of the buffet to offset the cost however it is not palatable at all. The desserts are limited. If you remember kings buffet franchises in the early 2000s this is not even close. If you have ever been to a Mandarin, this is not at all a substitute nor does it compare at all! I find it absolutely unbelievable that the local health inspector can approve this restaurant with a license to serve food. I actually wanted to stand up and ask if everyone in the restaurant was okay with paying $36 dollars per adult for this absolutely awful meal. I chose to pay, leave and accept my losses. Allowing the business to continue is a crime waiting to happen. To the owner, I look forward to eventually seeing this building shuttered and reading of the lawsuit most assuredly coming your way in the future. I hope the legal bill consumes your ill...
Read moreMost of the time the food is good to say the least. Sometimes the food is dry, but it is to be expected when it sits in a heating tray.
Today (December 26th) me and my girl went to lunch and most of the food was garbage. The sushi looked weird, the steak strips were flavorless. Most of the food was dry it tasteless. The wonton soup tasted like mildew and apparently we were the 5th people to complain about the food here today.
Don't get me wrong, kingsbuffet is good, but it seems to he hit or miss and today was a complete miss and a waste of money.
NEW UPDATE Ordered takeout from skip the dishes(their service is good) and let me say it was the biggest let down ever.. The wonton soup tasted like cleaner and watered down.. The crab was like rubber and gave me and my girlfriend stomach cramps associated with nausea. And the chow mein was literally just cooked in butter.. tasteless and even the mall Chinese food tastes 10 times better.. The chicken that came with the noodles looks atrocious and not healthy and the pork is food dyed red just to hide the garbage quality and discoloration.. And not to mention we had the crab in the fridge for two days and it already turned fermented and inedible...

Tonight, my husband and I decided to take our kids out for a nice family dinner. We chose to go to what used to be The King’s Buffet, now renamed Kingsway Buffet. We haven’t been there in nearly 10 years—since our youngest was just a baby—and we were hoping for a nostalgic, enjoyable experience. What a massive disappointment.
First off, the prices were ridiculously high for what they offered. The food selection was minimal at best. Everything tasted like it had been sitting out for days—dry, stale, and flavorless. The spring rolls had a strange chemical aftertaste. The chicken balls were rock-hard. There was no authentic Chinese or Asian food in sight—just greasy, bland Americanized options that looked and tasted like reheated leftovers.
The cleanliness? Non-existent. Our table was sticky, our silverware had food residue on it, and we were even given folded napkins that were clearly used. The bathrooms were beyond filthy—the most unsanitary I’ve ever seen in any restaurant. Honestly, it felt like we were eating in a dump.
The service didn’t help either. The waiter never checked on us, never asked if we wanted refills or how everything was going. It was like we didn’t exist once we were seated.
Bottom line: Do not—I repeat, DO NOT—bring your family here. This place has gone completely downhill. What used to be a decent family spot has turned into a total disgrace. Spend your money elsewhere. $36.99 per person over 12 years old $18.99 for children...
