Aroma Indian Fine Dining — Restaurant in Greater Sudbury

We saw good reviews and decided to try it. Place was quite and service was decent. They asked for spice level and we said we would like spicy. Now as soon as food arrived first thing we noticed was gravy of shahi paneer. Now gravy was looking like without any rich texture that we were expecting it felt like mild spice at best and home made food. Now when i say home made food i mean person who doesn’t have much of an experience cooking these things on regular basis. They really need to work on paneer gravies for sure rest assured they were good. It’s just when you go to restaurants you expect rich in texture gravies in general. I went for all you can eat buffet and we was very happy with the service, food and drinks. They have by far the best mango lassi and was perfectly well balanced and was not sweet like the others we have tried. Food was fresh and tasted like home. Butter chicken was not overly sweet and the chili chicken was so well balanced, had the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The kaddai chicken was the best in the city and GTA! Ive tried several indian restaurants and no one can beat their chili chicken and kaddai chicken. Best part anout chili chicken was it was not fried. The food was not oily as well. We ordered Kadhai Paneer and tandoori roti. Here are the list of things which I didn’t like and those things are needed to be improved. Quantity of curry was not provided as shown to us There should be a mixture of paneer and gravy. However, there were big cubes of paneer only and very limited gravy. Tandoori roti was the most disappointing part. It was neither fresh nor cooked well nor good quality.

We visited the place as it was the first day and expected to enjoy fantastic food. That didn’t happen unfortunately.
