I booked a room found on a Sudbury motel booking site on Sunday, August 23 having never stayed at this Sudbury location before. I had such an experience I did not want to remember it but later describing to friends felt I better review this to others. I booked earlier that day thru a website booking service. When I arrived at the hotel they gave me my room number, #112. I went to the room and it was unmade from the previous guests. I was frustrated because I was wet from the rain. I went to the lobby and informed the front desk staff. She stated her system showed that the room had been done. She gave me a second room but I had told them earlier on booking I required a room overlooking my motorcycle. She then gave me a third room which was facing my bike. When I entered this room I immediately noticed the sheets under both bed coverlets were rumpled. I had also noticed before entering the room that two teenage boys in the hallway appeared to be the cleaning staff. After entering the room I pulled back the covers on the bed because they appeared rumpled underneath and now I dont trust this motel for anything.... when i pulled back the covers it was obvious neither bed had had its sheets replaced from the previous stayers. There was soft rumpled marks from where a butt would have been, there was also soft rumpled marks from where a neck would have been on the pillows and there was two small fresh blood stains on the second bed bottom sheet that looked like a small dogs claw marks plus an approximately 14 to 18 inch long blonde hair on the pillow case. I was livid. I went to staff and boldly asked them to follow me to see for themselves. The female desk attendant assisted me and stated it appeared the sheets had not been changed. I was furious in a non confrontational way. I told them to make up the first room , #112 with clean bedding so I could stay in it. One hour and thirty minutes later the room was done after I repeatedly asked them for updates on finishing the room. Finally I got in and slept well that night. In the morning I went to take my pets out for a morning bathroom when two separate people informed me in the parking lot about their negative experience at the motel. I then went back in my room and went to make coffee. This is where I was most shocked. I lifted the coffee pot and noticed what I thought was calcium build up on the glass as it was opaque. When I opened the lid expecting to have to go try to clean the pot it was apparent there was white milk with what appeared to be coffee grounds in the milk in the pot. I then pulled out the coffee basket to find a fluid white looking substance, milk, in the basket. At 5:40 a.m. I was furious. I took the pot to the front desk manager where I somewhat interrupted him. I said I'm livid and with covid this is totally unacceptable...the man's statement was cutting and abrupt. He said give me a minute I just got here 5 minutes ago. I felt like previous staff informed him about problems. I asked him later who was the managers contact, he informed me he was the manager. I totally gave him the 10th degree about cleanliness for one but especially during covid. He gave me 50 percent off my room to appease me. My friends stated afterwards he should have give me a 100 percent refund. I need to really investigate and find out who the top management is because this is TOTALLY unacceptable for people in general never mind covid or people with impaired...
Read moreThis is the second time we have stayed at this same hotel , mind you my sons employer has put him and his co workers up at this hotel so it was not my choice but we wanted to be by him as he transitions into the working world as a young man. We only booked because this is where he is so it definitely would not be my first pick.
I had completed the pre check in on our travels and then was expected to do the exact same thing once we arrived. What’s the purpose of pre check in if I still have to do it when I arrive ? I had also mentioned in my pre check in that I wanted extra pillows in the room. There was none.
I had booked a 1st floor room as my son was on the first floor and was given a second floor room up on check in. Once arriving into our room there was what appeared to be a price tag from clothing from a thrift store on the “office” chair. There was sticky rings and spots all over the hard table surface that was ontop the ottoman. There was hair all over the shower walls. Brown chunks of something on the shower curtain. Only one wash cloth provided upon arrival. One bar of soap no body soap ( there was two different bars on our first stay so I know they have it ) I had accidentally missed the trash can while throwing away trash in the bathroom when I moved it to pick it up there was someone else’s garbage in behind it clearly showing the floor wasn’t even fully cleaned.
The breakfast was very sparse , very limited fresh options bring your own if you are a breakfast person or go out. The in room coffee maker we weren’t even supplied with cups , only one package of accoutrements to make our own coffee if we had cups , the machine itself was dirty. No bag for the ice bin yet it was completely dirty so unable to use without one. I’ve stayed in $60 a night hotels and it was in better shape. I’ve spent over $500 for 3 nights at this hotel and it’s definitely not a $150+ night atmosphere. There was garbage all over the ground outside. I’m only staying there because that’s the place my son’s work has chosen for their workers. If I had to choose it definitely wouldn’t be there. I don’t understand how they can charge so much for barely the...
Read moreTo be clear the girl at reception was great and tried her best.|I booked the room 2 days before our arrival, King bed 1st floor. We arrived on the Saturday and were told that the king bed in our room did not have a frame. The frame had broke and had not been replaced, she said it was used for disabled guests? I requested an alternate room with a bed that had a frame and was given a queen room on the second floor. |We went to the room and noticed that there was supposed to be 2 queen beds in the room and one had been removed, that was OK. The bed was slanted downwards. When I went in the bathroom, there was soiled toilet paper sitting next to the little soap package on the towel hung over the side of the tub, there were black marks on the white towels and the toilet bowl had feces stuck on it....ugh! |I called reception and explained the situation and she agreed to find another room. The only room available was the king with no frame, so we took it. When we entered this room with the girl, we noticed that there were only 3 couch-cushion-sized pillows on the bed, so requested more pillows. The girl also found and removed a towel from the bathroom with black marks on it. The fridge was making a loud noise and the girl reached in and turned the freezer off and on and said "yes, you will need to turn it off and on when it does this, but remember to turn it back on otherwise there will be water everywhere". The fridge played its loud tune off and on throughout the night.|We immediately received 2 more crappy old pillows and one fresh towel and after she left we noticed there were no cups in the room (with the exception of one coffee cup), no sugar or coffee creamer, no wash cloths, only 1 hand towel and no hairdryer (remains of a bracket was still there). The floors and the couch had not been vaccummed.|The coffee at breakfast was watered down and breakfast was toast, cereal and waffles. No fruit or yogurt, not a deal breaker, but a decent cup of coffee is.|We have stayed here many times in the past with no issues, but we will not...
