Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Greater Sudbury

My honest review is that service has gone way down hill since the last owner left. Since she isn't there anymore the cakes look horrible, except for the blizzard cakes which you can't mess up. The first time I went since the new owner I went through the drive thru and even with my truck turned off and me having to use my outdoor voice. They had me repeat the order multiple times, then the workers had to ask me multiple times at the window what I had ordered and I ended up with hair in my pumpkin pie blizzard. The second time I went inside and ordered. I have no idea what happened, the one guy took my order then went to drive thru and I stood and waited over 15 minutes before another family walked in and asked if I had ordered already I looked at the server and said "well I thought so, have you even started making my blizzard yet?" Keep in mind this was at 8pm and around the time DQ starts to slow down for people coming in. I point to the TV screens they now have and said "that's my order there." Finally got my blizzard, so thank you random family that came in. The food is good, you can't mess up ice cream and frozen food. Seating area looked cleaned as well. It's just the poor service. I would also recommend for good looking cakes to try other sudbury...

We went to this DQ for a late supper, July 20th. On Google, the hours say open until 11pm. When you drive up to the store, there's a huge sign out front that says open until 11pm. So when we showed up shortly before 10pm, we were pretty appalled by the staffs attitude. They were clearly cleaning up for the night, and hey, I work in a kitchen from open till close, so I get it. But they were open for 1 more hour and acted incredibly passive aggressive. One kid told us to move more than once so he could mop around us, everyone behind the counter giving dirty looks. Another kid, wanted to know "when we were leaving" while we were waiting for our take out order. The food was fine, but the customer service was absolutely terrible. I've never felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant before. And it's not like we ordered a crazy amount of food, 2 combos, that's it. Do better guys. Maybe hire some adults to run the place, because your closing crew of teenage boys is terrible. I definitely won't be coming there after...

Honestly I’m so disappointed. The owner is a horrible person. I’ve gone in a few times with my kids and I have seen the owner on multiple occasions shoving receipts into workers hands orders them to make it. A young worker was pulled to the back a long while ago so when she came back I asked her to tell me what happened as it looked as if she was about to cry. He has threatened to take money from her pay check because she had dropped two pieces of a topping onto the counter. Not only that but she said because she doesn’t agree by him giving her all this stuff to do, he will take away hours. The many times I have gone since the new owner, I have found men’s hair in my blizzard. I believe this owner should be forced to sell or leave. These young adults don’t deserve this behaviour! Under all of this I would like to keep names and pupils out of this complaint. I am very much hoping this complaint goes...
