Pizza Delight — Restaurant in Greenwood

Service was slow for a Saturday at Supper time, only seen one waitress and she was running from one table to the nxt. The gentleman that eventually took our drink and food order returned 1O min later with our drinks but we didn't see him again until we left to pay. Food arrived everything looked good, after the initial bite something was off. I order the Classic Donair a dish I have enjoyed since the 80s, something is very different with the meat they are using, it had more of a salami texture with a wet oily consistency that had a distinct spicy pepper flavor, definitely not the Classic Pizza Delight donair meat, if anyone had returned to the table I would have said something but in the hour we were there no one asked if we wanted anything else. My husband ordered the classic panzerotti, which was flavourful but the little dish of marinara you use to get on the side has been replaced buy what I can only say taste like ketchup and BBQ sauce mixed together into a thin dipping sauce that did not compliment the panzerotti but would make a good dipping sauce for French fries. If you had never tasted a Pizza Delight donair you would not know that Classic flavor, over the yrs it has never wavered hence the name Classic. Sorry, no marinara sauce, lame donair meat, we won't be ordering this again. After 41yrs, I'm disappointed it was a good run...

I typically order take out. Product fine but pricey. Regardless, delivery staff arrives with angry dog and lots of attitude. I have been lectured on tipping by driver. Most recently, order and angry dog arrived, order was taken away from me. No explanation...I explained to angry dog owner I have never not paid.

Anrgy dog owner showed up with product and left as soon as he arrived because they had a new machine for payment. I had not even tried to pay .

Called restaurant manager and got a call from owner about how sad they were about the experience. No apology whatsoever, just lots of fine explanations about what I did wrong.

I apologize to Pizza Delight, I apologize to all your staff and management. As a military veteran I should have known better.

I should expect less, accept abuse and be quiet about it.

Actually, I have decided not to take this lying down like a beaten up victim anymore. I am tired, like most people are, about getting screwed over and taken advantage of again and again.

I want to take this all the way, let's dance Pizza Delight!!

BTW, I was able to get a fabulous meal from Mamma Sofia Pizzeria in Kingston for a great price and their crust...

It's not that I hate the place . It's just fact that pizza delight has changed big time since the 80s and 90s . Good side of the change is the extras that was added to there menu. But not made in house, other then heating up the product .and then being told to my face by the manager that they everything from scratch in his kitchen . Being a chef for so many years I do know the differences in catered food to home cook foods in food chains .by all means it's not a bad thing except the honesty that's not there .why take credit good or bad . If you didn't make but only heated it up.. like a old chef said once why go out to eat a tv dinner when you can heat it up at...
