OK so I had to review this place because I do visit this location quite often and I am feeling more and more sorry for the wonderful worker there, named Sue, each time I visit. She is an absolute gem who seems to have to work with an increasing number of people in this world who just seem to not want to do their jobs. This time she took an order before mine, 3 visible girls standing around talking to each other (a 4th seemed to be working in the kitchen area) no other customers, no one in drive thru. After she took my order and none of the girls had made a move to do anything. She mentioned to them that the customers were still standing there waiting so she started to make their drinks, the ladies, after exchanging looks of non-appreciation for her kind reprimand, decided to spread out 1 fiddling with the still empty drive thru area & 1 assisted in making 1 of the 2 juices previously ordered while Sue did the other. Sue started on our order and another girl did come with my coffee that Sue was also preparing & while she did the tea the other girl made our mocha ice capp. I have to share a pic of the ice capp though because this was the level of their work, and though I mentioned it was not stirred up enough she didn't even acknowledge me (my coffee wasn't stirred either). Sue also had to clean up water from the counter that was ignored as the girls literally seemed to just not want to do anything or as little as possible. This seems to be an increasing pattern here and it is very sad to see when a place has 1 employee who works quite hard and tries to get their co-workers to help even a little but they just do not want to. The trio in front of us had literally stared at the talking girls the whole time Sue was taking our order and they did not make a move until it was literally mentioned to them that the customers were still there without a single of the 2 JUICE drinks ordered. Like how easy is juice! It's very frustrating as a customer to not only experience the laziness of people but also to watch a good employee be run ragged & have to face even subtle attitude from not 1 but 3 employees for just trying to get them to do the job they're paid for, which likely isn't her position to do so. If Sue is not a supervisor she should be or workers who don't want to do their job should be replaced with those who do. That is usually a busy place & this is definitely something that has happened several times, with this same employee, I have noted it enough so that I felt motivated to comment to hopefully bring change for this very hard working employee. Management, this is someone you should work hard not to lose or who knows what that place will fall into without her should she get tired of the work load on her and transfer or retire. Ladies stop being so lazy and help your fellow worker, stop putting your job on her and earn your pay yourself! Customers are tired of waiting and seeing it. Just to clarify. I do not know Sue personally at all, she did not complain to me or do anything to coerce this review, but I made sure to note her name tag on this visit especially because I just felt really bad for her, she's very nice each time we come & the only reason this place got the stars I gave (she's 5 star...
Read moreIf you value your time, do not waste it here! On numerous occasions we have had to wait an extremely long time in the drive thru queue. Yesterday, we sat in line for 15-20min (over 10 min waiting for the truck in front of us to be fully served). I suggest if you’re going to make people wait that long, tell the vehicle to pull ahead or into the closest parking spot and bring their order out to them - like the majority of fast food chains are doing now. It is very frustrating for the people who are simply just ordering coffee or other beverages to have to wait that long in a drive thru, which you are stuck in once you get in line. As we approached the drive thru queue, there were two cars in front of us, one getting their order taken and one at the drive thru window. By the time we had eventually gotten our 2 small coffees, there were over 10 cars in the drive thru queue. As for the “customer service” there was not much of it. When we got to the window, we mentioned that it was an extremely long time to have to wait for a couple coffees and all we got in return was laughed at and got our coffees almost tossed to us (while spilling out of the top of the lids). I know Tim Hortons’ usually have poor customer service, but this incident just bothered myself and the other person in the car so much. To not even be taken seriously by the staff or for them to not even give us the time of day, was disrespectful. The woman at the drive thru window was very unprofessional and not at all courteous. She did not even say a word other than handing and telling us the types of coffee we ordered and laughing at us. She completely ignored our frustrations and repeatedly shut the window/walked away. It’s no wonder Tim Hortons franchises across Canada have gone so downhill over the past few years. The lack of training and proper management is reflecting through on the carelessness and unprofessionalism of some employees at various stores. I get people can have bad days, but I and many people I know, have had such terrible experiences at Tim Hortons franchises over the last few years (issues with customer service, quality/freshness of food and beverages, inconsistency, etc.) I would much rather spend a little extra money on Starbucks, where they seem to value their customers more and focus on the quality of their items and overall experience of...
Read moreThis Tim Hortons is definitely a mixed bag. It is part of a building that acts as a stop/rest point for travelers, right off the highway, with several restaurants, a big parking lot, public washrooms, etc.
If you’re using the drive through, good for you. There can be several cars in line, and the wait is never too unbearable. And it’s a Tim Hortons that very rarely seems to screw up my coffee. Which is becoming rare in this day and age.
If you’re going inside to order from the counter, may god have mercy on your soul. It is an absolutely agonizing and slow experience. To begin with, there are usually two tolls open, but never any kind of velvet rope/signage. So many people will line up all over the place. There is always confusion over where to get in line, Who is next, one line vs. Two, etc. Being a stop over spot for travelers heading two and from the casino and/or the states, language barriers can sometimes be a problem. The staff tries, but with all the chaos, you really have to be a sadist or completely out of other options to attempt to order at the counter of...
