OK, so here’s the thing, the server was great no issues with her. I’m not sure if the hostess was also an owner of the establishment. That I cannot confirm, but I do have to say I felt terribly insulted by her. In fact, I’ve never felt so insulted and unwanted at a restaurant. We came in on Valentine’s evening and she said or she asked where would you like to sit, the bar area or dining. And so we chose dining. Then she said there were no seats available because they were reserved. There were several tables available , and when we were there, in fact, they were approximately three tables free for approximately 45 minutes. No I don’t run a restaurant so I don’t know if they were in fact reserved and the patrons just had not shown up yet and or you couldn’t provide those tables to those coming in because they were on reserve and we may not be finished in time for their reservation. So she said we would have to go and sit at the bar right at the back of the bar. She kind of pointed to where we needed to sit, but as a hostess, you should be guiding us to where we are to sit. We saw another table available and so we went there and chose to sit there instead seeing that there was no reservation sign on the table. As we were walking there, I shrugged my shoulders because I didn’t know exactly where she wanted us to sit because she never walked us to our seats like what a good hostess is supposed to do. So we saw the empty table and we went and took our seats. She said you can’t sit there it’s for six people. I understand it was only the two of us, but all those rows of 6 person tables, maybe two people at each of those tables and they were all made for six people. So I don’t know why we couldn’t sit there at an available table. She asked us do you want this table and I politely but firmly said yes. You sit your patrons at the next available table and if you don’t happen to have one that’s only suited for two or four people then the customer has the right to sit there. Instead of sitting in the corner at the bar. I didn’t like her. I’m going to be honest. She was rude, unkind, and made us feel very unwelcome. Thankfully, we got the waitress that we usually always have because she is always great. She is wonderful. The hostess was not with the mostest. I’m disappointed and frankly thrown off from going to this Chuck’s again, simply based on this one person. You must treat your customers with respect. You must treat your customers like they’re having the worst day of their life and you’re there to make them feel like they’re having the best day of their life. I’ve never felt so unwanted and unwelcome and disrespected at a restaurant. I am not looking forward to going back because I won’t...
Read moreBefore anything else, you should know, in order to keep their advertised prices low to draw in customers they charge a "Honest to Goodness Fee" on top of everything when the bill comes. Yes it's only 3% but there's something supremely dishonest about charging an extra fee, on top of taxes and tips because you want to "keep your prices low". Someone failed economics.
When we got there there was about a 30 minute wait which was understandable at a new restaurant. The whole while a table right against the window stayed empty and one or two others inside were visibly lacking customers. When we finally got in, and were seated we were offered drinks by a gentlemen that seemed to be a manager. He told us our waitress is new which is understandable in a new establishment. Our beers arrived but no water for my mom. A different manager came in saying she would be helping out our waitress and took our order and said she'd get my mom her water. A few minutes later, our waitress arrives with our beers (Again) and the missing water. She took the beers back and here comes a fourth person with more water.
A fifth person delivers the pickle spears we ordered. They tasted quite breaded (not really crunchy) which was strange and one of them was actually cold in the center. If you've ever had pickle spears you know, those things normally burn you if you eat them right away.
Meals arrive and all or orders are wrong. Both my parents (who had the steak and lobster) were missing their corn sides and I had ordered the 10oz top sirloin, not the steak and lobster that arrived. The second manager comes back and says of "course you didn't order that!" and goes to see what's wrong. A few minutes later my actual meal shows up. Long story... well long, the pepper corn sauce tasted faintly of soap, the steak had no flavor and the whole experience really turned me off this place completely.
This chain erred in changing this location from a Crabby Joe's that I always enjoyed to...
Read morechantal was amazing From the moment we walked through the doors, it was clear that we were in for an outstanding dining experience and much of that credit goes to our server, who truly went above and beyond in every way imaginable. Great service has the power to elevate even a simple meal into something memorable, and that’s exactly what happened. First and foremost, the warmth and attentiveness of the server stood out immediately. She greeted us with a genuine smile, offered a warm welcome, and made us feel valued from the start. she offered her personal recommendations, and explained the menu with insight and enthusiasm not in a rushed or rehearsed way, but with authenticity that felt both knowledgeable and personable. One of the best qualities a sever can have is their ability to read the table perfectly. Chantel struck the ideal balance between being attentive and giving us space. Our food arrived promptly, and any small request (like a sauce on the side or a dietary preference) was handled with ease and professionalism. Everything arrived exactly as requested, hot and beautifully presented. There were no reminders needed, no errors to correct, and not once did we have to flag her down for something we needed she always seemed to be one step ahead. She engaged us in conversation without overstepping, picked up on our sense of humor, creating a relaxed and fun atmosphere. It felt like we were being taken care of by someone who genuinely enjoys their job and cares about the people they serve. As we left, she thanked us with the same warmth and authenticity she had shown throughout the evening. We walked away feeling not only full and satisfied but genuinely impressed and grateful for the experience she helped create. Thanks to chucks and Chantel who gave us such a wonderful...
