Came for dinner and drink's tonight and sat on the patio. Things started off well as we got our first drink's and food quickly, but after that there was not very much service if any at all. My Girlfriend and I are not ones to complain ever - We are very easy going and understanding of whats going on. Tonight we simply stopped receiving service after our food and first round of drink's were served. We would've liked to order more drinks as we were still only half way through the food portion of the meal, but we could not get the attention of our waitress. We waited to try and get their attention, but they did not come around. We sat for about 20 minutes. After we completed our meals and sat without drinks for an additional15 minutes all we wanted was the bill for our food. Our waitress cleared and cashed out 3 tables around us without even looking our way while we tried to get her attention - We felt as if we were being ignored. We understand that things can get busy, but all we wanted was some attention from our waitress to order more drinks and enjoy our evening. Instead, we ordered only one drink and patiently waited and tried to get our bill and leave. Fortunately, another waitress was around and gave us our bill so we could leave - Since we weren't getting anywhere with our own waitress. We plan to return as the food, drinks, and atmosphere were great. However, if we have the same waitress as tonight, we would rather deal with someone else.
Update: I was reached out to by Shari and State & Main - She addressed my issues and I am very grateful for that! Looking forward...
Read moreWe ordered the "Empire State" and the "French Dip", the food came quickly. The Empire State was delicious, savory and the combination was sweet! The mash potatoes with gravy was a plus. The French Dip is similar to a Philly cheese steak I would say and we have nothing to complain about. The drinks we ordered were smooth, perfectly made. The old fashioned was made with Maker's Mark Bourbon, a really great choice. The service through the time we've been there was great. The only thing that is not that good is when we arrived with our table reserved, they told us we had only two hours of time to spend, no rush, but we had only two hours(this was noted on the reservation website as well). This is not bad, it is more than enough time to eat and chill, however it's kind of an upsetting situation. We spent one hour total. The atmosphere was good overall, the seats were great, the spot we seated was ok. Only the noise around was loud for us, there were some tables speaking loudly and the tv sound was on as well. We sort of yelled at each other to have a conversation.
I would rate 4.5 stars. Because two things that I didn't like so much is my personal opinion, and others might not notice. I recommend this place, it is a...
Read morethis was my second or third time here in a few years, atmosphere and service is good but food quality and taste is lacking while the prices are getting quite steep. Drinks are expensive, I had the French dip and the bun was a bit stale and looked as though it was out of the freezer, there wasn't much meat and the fries were salty but not hot and crisp, definately not fresh cut from real potatoes but likely bagged and frozen and not worth $20+. I did enjoy the salad which had real bacon and the Mocha ice cream pie for dessert was wonderful. Maybe this is just a spot to come for dessert after having a roast beef sandwich at home! It's a bit sad that there are fewer and fewer restaurants with real chefs and its becoming more of a heat and eat scenario where someone else does the dishes. The customer service team did reach out with apologies and an opportunity to try again in hopes of a better experience so we will. For me when management want to improve and make the effort that does say a lot and perhaps why some restaurants do last 10 yrs or more and others change names and disappear...
