Oh my goodness, everything was so delicious. Cute cozy spot. Came at 6 on a Friday night and it wasn’t very busy, everyone is probably trying that other new restaurant. It filled up by the time we left (almost 8) and it was very lively. We started with some delicious cocktails (margarita and daquiri) then had some apps. The tomato tartlet (waitress recommended) that I was initially hesitant about (I don’t love cherry tomatoes) was amazing, the tiny tomatoes were so cute and sweet (was it jam?) and the burrata was so creamy on a delicately crispy thin tart shell, I could have eaten 100 of them and enjoyed every crumb. We also had the melon halloumi and the pork belly, but the scallops were spectacular!!! I licked off every last bit of the sauce that came on the accompanying sausage patty, that patty was amazing and with that creamy sweet sauce? Chefs kiss. I never knew sausage Pattie’s could taste so heavenly. And those scallops, they were perfectly cooked, with a beautiful dill sauce and tart currants. The presentation almost looks Christmas-y. We followed that with the peach hazelnut cake and a French press coffee. The cake was also delicious but not very hazelnut-y, but was a beautiful little peach cake, maybe if they sprinkled some hazelnut crumbs, or hazelnut in the cream, it would be more accurate to its name. The coffee was good too! What I loved was that the menu was small and for someone indecisive like me, had the perfect amount of options. It means the chef can really focus on the quality of the dish instead of trying to do too much. I can’t wait to come back for more!!

We had such an unforgettable dining experience here. The cocktails were out of this world the Golden Hour and Working Late were both incredibly crafted, balanced, and full of character. Highly recommend starting with those! To begin, we had the leek tartelette, and honestly, it was so delicious and it set the tone for the entire meal. Next up was the gnocchi, which was absolutely to die for. Pro tip: get the bread with it, it’s totally worth it and brings the dish to another level. But the true star of the show? The lions mane schnitzel. I don’t say this lightly: it was one of the best dishes I have ever had. The texture, the flavor, the execution, just mind-blowing. On top of all that, the atmosphere was perfect—warm, stylish, and comfortable and the service was flawless. Every dish came out with perfect timing, and the whole experience felt thoughtful and effortless. Honestly, this place deserves way more attention than it’s getting. It’s a gem, and I can’t wait to come back.

This spot is a full-on sensory experience from start to finish. The cocktails were absolute masterpieces—each one a creative, liquid work of art. Appetizers burst with flavor—thoughtful, vibrant bites that set the tone for the rest of the meal. Mains were a textural and flavorful party, with a mix of ingredients that danced together beautifully. And the desserts? Almost too pretty to eat… almost. Every bite was as divine as it looked. To top it off, the service was spot on with friendly smiles and attention to details. Don’t miss the deviled eggs topped with crispy chicken skin and tobiko and the gnocchi with a sauce that screams “more please”. The mains of duck, tuna, and braised ribs were big standouts as was the fresh bread with goat butter to soak up every last bite! This new cozy spot in Halifax is a welcome addition to the food scene. Thanks for the great evening of food and libations to celebrate our birthdays!
