Hydrostone Park — Attraction in Halifax

Hydrostone Park could be charming, however, it has been neglected by the parks department. I did lodge a suggestion to have the soil topped up and to perhaps add some small paving pebbles for areas that don't get sun...right now you can see the roots of the trees 🌳 so it hasn't been maintained for a very long time. Shame on the Parks Department for neglecting this small historical park...I didn't even get a courtesy response after I submitted...

I don’t really think of this as a real park, but a very valuable green space in the city. It is basically a boulevard between the shops in the Hydrostone market that bring a sense of peace and pleasantry to the area. Good benches, lots of space for people to hang out on the grass. Place to eat a croissant from Julian's or slice from Salvatores after checking out the Hydrosone Market, or give your dog a pee break. It's just a sliver of grass, not a park...
