If the rating could be lower, I would select zero stars or less.
The drive through service started off a bad experience, but I tried to communicate/understand, with the cashier having strong pronunciation issues especially on a microphone/speaker (huge language barrier because of pronunciation). Because of the pronunciation problems, it was going to be a surprise what I had ordered.
It was supposed to be a pretzel baconator combo, no pretzel bun, only about 15 french fries in the small carton (container maybe halfway filled), some small sundae and no beverage.
When the host had passed me the mystery order, yes I tried to stick with it and give them the benefit of the doubt. Wendy's claims the baconator has six strips of Applewood smoked bacon, the burger had two strips ripped into three pieces each totalling their idea of six strips. Again very small, almost non-existent french fries, a small sundae (not asked for, but they claimed it was a frosty) and no beverage.
I asked about a beverage because I didn't receive one and the host after trying to explain something (again a pronunciation problem, but only just a little better than the cashier). I think he did try to get me a beverage, but my frustration level was quite high, I denied the supposed offer not wanting to increase my frustration and drove away.
I had checked the menu for this location prior to going to the restaurant drive through. What I planned on ordering was on the menu so I tried to order the Pretzel Baconator Combo with the Orange Dreamsicle Frosty for the beverage (received something close, maybe). I'm pretty sure the only thing that was understood from the order was the word 'Baconator'.
Loss of a customer, not that that is going to make a difference, but word of mouth travels...
Read moreVisited this location last night, 8:02pm. Not like it is busy suppertime. My bf and I placed our order for DION right after our friends placed their order for JOE. A family of 4 then placed their order, a guy from Skip The Dishes was waiting for an order. Another guy JAMIE placed his order, then an older lady and another couple people. JOE's order sat on the tray on the counter and no one called his name out. Joe's girlfriend realised and picked up the meal and sat down to enjoy. We waited and waited and waited AND WAITED for our order while the family of four got theirs. Then there was a big kerfuffle between the Skip the Dishes guy and perhaps a manager, other people were now coming through the door with wrong orders from the drive thru. It was now 8:17 and our friends were enjoying their meals while we waited. While the family of four got their meals, shortly after they sat down, the Dad and Mom are back at the counter because there has been some sort of mix up with their meals, DION'S order and JAMIE'S order are still not up. Dad of family of 4 returns to counter with another mix up. RIDICULOUS! I told Dion to get our money back, which they did but what a mess. Halyey rang us in but another lady, maybe the manager went back through the orders and they couldn't even find our order?? Not very organized, lack of leadership and poor communication are your problem Wendy's Bayers Lake, NS. We sat and watched our friends eat and everyone that ordered...
Read moreFor a fast food restaurant this place is probably the best. Wendy's never freezes their beef, their food always tastes good, and you can personalize your burger. (such as no mayo, extra pickle, extra lettuce, mustard extra ketchup, no onions, that sort of customisation) The frosty is always available and always delicious their vanilla frosting is anything but boring and you can actually taste the vanilla bean in it. If you can't decide whether or not you want a chocolate or a vanilla Frosty you can do what I do and that's get half and half so you get the best of both worlds. I've always had great service at this restaurant/fast food. The salads they offer are always delicious and fresh their chicken options are delicious and their kids meals are actual food, so you never need to worry what exactly it is that your children are eating. They have a late night drive thru and some Wendy's have a 24 hour drive-thru which makes it great for that post party snack or a working late - pick up something that is healthier for you than somewhere like the "Golden Arches" and is really tasty food. Also the prices are 100% more...
