A&W Canada — Restaurant in Hamilton

Went here at 6:00 AM on Monday September 12th I ordered 2 teen beyond burgers with no bacon , the Indian girl taking my order was very rude to me for ordering what I ordered because they would have to do work to make it , she didn’t seem very happy taking my order and seemed rather annoyed , I was informed the grill was being cleaned so it would take half an hour for them to cook my meal , she was hoping I’d leave after hearing that but I had time to wait , she seemed annoyed and said YOU STILL WANNA ORDER ? So we ordered our 2 combos with well done fries with seasoning and chipotle sauce in our burgers , after waiting 30 mins in the parking lot we went back into the line while witnessing them make orders for around 5-7 cars , when we pulled up to the window no one knew about our order , until the same girl started being rude again over the mic , we were then handed COLD FRIES WITH NO SEASONING, COLD BURGERS WITH NO CHIPOTLE SAUCE after waiting 30 mins , I thought our food was being cooked fresh , but it seems like they gave us old food which was sitting there , also they never followed our instructions after giving us bad customer service . This always happens at this location for me , the girls in the drive thru really have an attitude problem , if you can’t be nice don’t work at a 24 hour customer facing business , I as a customer shouldn’t be made to feel that I’m annoying the staff for providing you business , please hire new staff this is Canada , and I expect a certain level of food quality and customer...

Short, little East Indian female manager very bossy enforcing her power as a manager. Put an order through drive thru for 4 burgers. Paid for the order and was waiting at the window, shortly this little bossy person asked me to move and park in the front, I declined because there was absolutely no one behind me. I also said that I would move if someone came, but no one did. She then explained and said that it was policy, I told her that I have been at this location many times and I’ve never had a problem before, especially when nobody was in the drive thru line. After saying that it would take a while to prepare 4 burgers, I told her it was fine. I usually order 5-6 double buddy burgers so I know how long it takes. While she kept arguing with me about moving my car, I’ve had enough and asked for my money back. All in all very disappointed with this manager. After my credit card was refunded she was hesitant in giving me the receipt for proof of refund with the original receipt. Only when I started to leave did a car drive up to place an order. Usually by then my order would have been ready.

This is the only A&W i've ever been to that has food issues...

During the day it's business as usual and the food is a solid 7/10 and what i mean by that score is the food is usually good but sometimes your burger is not hot but overall not to bad.

After about 10pm this place is a complete right off 2/10, the orders take absolutely forever to come out and the burgers are ALWAYS room temperature making them gross.

I'm a technician so i travel around the GTA A LOT so i get to taste a large sample size of these restaurants and i can tell you this one is a no go. I waited to post this review after i ate at this place 10+ times to see if my experience was a 1 off and unfortunately it wasn't.

Btw, im eating the food within 2-3min of pick-up so it's not like it's sitting in my seat for 30min before eating.

In closing.... don't waste your time and just drive 1km up the road...
