If I could give zero stars I would. I have been trying to reach out to some kind of head office Human Resources person for a week now. I dined here on Friday September 22nd my work has purchase me a digital gift card in which I specifically selected Fionn MacCools for to give this place a try. When it was time to pay I experienced the worst service of my life and have continued to experience the horrible service all week. When I went to pay I provided the server with my digital gift card she tried inputting it into her POS machine it did not work she said I am so sorry we have been having issues with digital gift cards let me get my manager. The manager that comes out asks me if I can go in with them to input the card into there actually cash register so I go in with them when we get to the cash the manager looks at my card and says no I can’t take that without even trying and than explains to me they are no longer a part of that gift card anymore I asked how this is possible when it was purchased that day and has their logo directly in the car and I had selected their restaurant as my choice she did not apologize just gave me a number to call to get reimburse and I had to pay out of pocket and she left. The server was cashing me out and she said she was sorry I said it’s ok it’s not your fault and she said it’s not ok I am super sorry the fact the only person who apologized to me for this for something that is THEIR FAULT is insane. I than got home and emailed the gift card company as well and Fionn MacCools head office regarding what had happened when I tried to call the number provided it just said “office currently close call back during office hours” and never provided the hours. The gift card company replied back to me as a lady named Sharon basically giving me a run around answer of she can’t help me. I never got a response from Fionn MacCools. I than have been trying to call twice a day when I can and it is the same automated message every time. Today I googled the the number and it gave me an email I could email so I emailed it and guess what SHARON emails me back the exact same copy and pasted run around email. I have yet to speak to an actual person or had anyone try to help me with this situation that is there fault. Read moreHad our staff holiday party there last night (Jan 11 2020) Disappointing is an understatement. Let me start by giving the 1 great detail. The food when it finally comes tastes great! Presented nicely.
Now the bad. 10 of us, seating is very crammed. The poor people sat behind our table in booths had to ask us to move so they could use the washroom. Our waitress was mildly pleasant but CLEARLY overwhelmed. I sat for probably 15mins and finally flagged her down to order a drink (as I came a bit after everyone, I had to close my own store) At this point nobody had been asked about food. All of us hungry and waiting to order and around 645pm (45mins after arriving approx) I asked a gentleman cleaning tables to find our waitress so we can order. She ran past us several more times and finally came a few mins later. Fast forward. We are all starving half hr it so later our food comes out very staggered. Would have much rathered have everyone able to eat together & the food arrive at one time even if it took me than 2 hands. Maybe someone could have helped her? Not once until we asked to pay were we checked on. 1 of my staff had to again flag someone down to fix her incorrect order...and they did do this quickly, without issue. Time to pay? Yes... Althoughbthe food came out at separate times it seemed convenient for her to bring 3 or 4 debit machines at once hahaha Food I guess and customer service less important than the bills and $$
When my co worker pointed out a $31 flaw in her bill (to the restaurant's benefit mind you, she is an honest person) it was sweat away and fixed quickly again. Last but not least with some of us having long drives home had to use the washroom and gather our stuff and out came 2 or 3 staff rudely pushing in and clearing the table before we could even finish.
Please... please as a group of people who also work in customer service steer clear of this location and restaurant if you want good or even mediocre service. What a sad and disappointing experience I gave a them a 2 star simply because the food...

Arrived 7pm on May 26th with a party of 4, for some drinks / apps on the patio...when we arrived the whole restaurant was 1/4 full (if that). Seated outside, with sticky patio chairs / table that wasn’t even wiped down. We wanted to start the evening off with $5 coronas as their ad states $5 CORONAS ALL SUMMER LONG ON THE PATIO OR A BUCKET OF 4 FOR $20. After asking the waitress about the ad posted in the front when you walk in she proceeded to tell us that no promo existed. After going back and forth with her she finally decided to go ask her manager who said it doesn’t start until June 1 and that he could not adjust the price...will post pic of the flyer we ripped out from the front (no date on when it starts) so we decided to start it off with a Caesar and Stella (15 mins for that to come out). We then ordered 1 nacho, 1 garlic cheedie, to only wait 40 mins to get our food which should take no longer then 15 mins for any restaurant ON A BUSY NIGHT, ate the food with no cutlery and no napkins until the food was done. After those drinks we grabbed 2 coronas, when the waitress came with them she laughed and said “here are your not $5 coronas”...After we got our food the other couple with us decided to order calamari. 10..20...30...40 mins passed until the manager finally came out on the patio and we asked him where the calamari was. Very confused and frustrated he said I’ll go check on it. 15 mins later he comes out with the calamari (looking like dog food) said it only takes 10 mins to make this (which it doesn’t, even on a busy night) and we refused to take this trash from him. He got all worked up and asked why we did not want the food. We told him to beat it and give us the bill as we just wanted out. When we got the bill the calamari wasn’t on, but nothing was discounted for this awful experience, not even an apology for how trash / long the service was.
