An Unforgettable Experience at the Old Celtic Pub - 5 Stars!
Review:
I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Old Celtic Pub in Hamilton, Ontario, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that truly made me feel at home.
First and foremost, let's talk about the food. The Old Celtic Pub offers an excellent menu with a wide variety of mouthwatering dishes. Every bite was bursting with flavor, and the quality of the ingredients was evident in each dish. From traditional Irish classics like Shepherd's Pie and Fish and Chips to unique creations that showcased local ingredients, there was something to satisfy every palate. The attention to detail and the culinary expertise of the chefs truly shone through, making the dining experience absolutely delightful.
Moving on to the main courses the Fish and Chips were perfectly crispy on the outside, with tender and flaky fish on the inside, served alongside a generous portion of golden fries.
To complement the fantastic food, the Old Celtic Pub boasts an impressive selection of beverages. Whether you're a craft beer enthusiast, a whiskey connoisseur, or simply looking for a refreshing cocktail, you'll find a drink that suits your taste. The bartenders were knowledgeable and passionate, and they took pride in serving up well-crafted and delicious drinks. The variety and quality of the beverages added an extra layer of enjoyment to my visit.
What truly set the Old Celtic Pub apart, however, was the extraordinary friendliness and hospitality of the staff. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with genuine smiles and a warm welcome. The servers were attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. They were happy to provide recommendations, answer questions about the menu, and accommodate any special requests. The staff's passion for their work and their dedication to providing outstanding customer service truly made a lasting impression.
The ambiance of the Old Celtic Pub was also worth mentioning. The cozy and inviting atmosphere, complete with traditional Irish decor and live music, created a welcoming and lively space. The sound of fiddles and Irish tunes filled the air, transporting me to the heart of Ireland. Whether you're visiting with friends, family, or even flying solo, you'll feel right at home in this charming establishment.
To round off the meal, the dessert menu offered a delectable selection of treats. The chessecake was amazing and truly brought back memories of my childhood.
In conclusion, my experience at the Old Celtic Pub in Hamilton was absolutely outstanding. From the excellent food to the delightful beverages and the extraordinary friendliness of the staff, every aspect of my visit was top-notch. The Old Celtic Pub truly captures the essence of Irish hospitality and culinary traditions.
If you're looking for a memorable dining experience with a touch of Irish charm, I highly recommend paying a visit to the Old Celtic Pub. It deserves nothing less than a well-deserved...
Read moreI am writing a review because I love good food. My oldest friend who lives nearby stated "its-good". He likes beer. I dont drink much but know beer. They have Keiths, Moosehead and Hoegaarden a nice tasting beer that is good for your stomach as well as Guinness. According to Scientists these are the only two beers that are healthy for stomach flora. Look it up. By now you can tell I am very Critical.
Regardless, my adult children had wings and fries which they loved. I tasted everything except the wings which looked like they were large and very meaty. I think wings are not a good food but everyone loved them. There were french fries and sweet potato fries-both cooked perfectly, meaning a bit crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle with a good clean aftertaste meaning they use the correct heat and they use fresh and good oil to fry-unusual and I appreciate this.
I had the Irish stew. It was excellent. Tasty, loads of meat and I as well as every one else (there were five of us) except one son who ate everything took half home-the portions being so large.
I am not a great tipper but couldnt help myself to tip 20 percent the service, atmosphere welcoming and attentive servers, outstanding tasty food just made me feel I found my new best come to restaurant. I and my family and friends I bring will definitely without any regret will visit again. By the way the prices were extremely fair and reasonable. I think we found a hidden gem on Hamilton Mountain. I do not like all the cookie cutter same as restaurants that serve mediocre food at outrageous prices. I am very thankful for what we...
Read moreThis is definitely NOT a Celtic pub. It's a diner with big TVs, mediocre diner food, disappointing beer list, no whisky, and really good service. The menu has a stew and a Shepherd's Pie, but then nothing else remotely Celtic. It has nonsense like "Irish Gravy" for some dishes; they have a Reuben sandwich with "Irish dressing"; there's Guinness and Harp, and then six typical big-brand beers. There are Leprechaun cartoons in the menu, but hardly any Irish food or beer; no Irish whiskey; nothing at all from any of the other Celtic nations - not even Scotland. They clearly have no idea what "Celtic" means. I had the Reuben and the meat was good, though piled too thick; the rest was not. Dry bread, hardly any sauerkraut, 2 or 3 paper-thin pickle rounds, hardly any cheese or sauce. It was a boring, almost flavourless meat sandwich, not a Reuben. The edges of the meat that stuck out the sides were dark and dry, so it seems they put a cold sandwich in a frying pan or oven rather than make it up fresh. They brought ketchup for the fries without asking, but no malt vinegar, and no mustard for the sandwich. The good news is that the wait staff was attentive, quick, responsive, and friendly. So it's a fine place for locals to go watch TV with chicken wings and a pint of Keith's. But it is NOT a Celtic...
