Love the food at Harvey’s… I’ve only been here twice due to living in the US and coming here on vacation.
The last visit I had was very irritating. I ordered a plain #3 and #4. I’m so used to ordering plain burgers (meat and cheese) so I accidentally said it while ordering. When I walk down to put the condiments on, the lady brings out the #4 (burger w/ bacon) and a plain burger (meat and bun). I let the lady know that I am supposed to have cheese on my burger, which she straight out told me “no”. I said that I accidentally ordered it plain, and if they need I am more than happy to pay whatever difference it was. She went to the cashier and it became a back-and-forth thing with her asking me a question then going to the cashier to verify. She didn’t understand what I was trying to say until I pointed to the burger with bacon and said “perfect”, then go to the next one and say “needs cheese”. She then understands and gets me the correct burger. The cashier then comes over and tells me she misunderstood me and I shouldn’t have said “plain”.
Food here is amazing. Favorite burger place in Canada so far. I just can’t understand why if something is incorrect in a fast food restaurant, the staff will not immediately correct it and instead try to prove the customer wrong… bit of a culture shock when I’m used to a “yes ma’am”
I’m mostly confused as to why it took like 5 minutes to debate a slice...
Read moreWalked up to the counter and was greeted with, can I help you? Yes you can help me but how about Hi or Hello or How are you today? Anyways little stuff… I ordered a jr bacon cheeseburger which was so over cooked it was hard to chew. I choose onion rings and they were just a pile of smashed rings half soft half hard. Who likes crispy full Onion rings? I do! Who likes them smashed up, half soft and stuffed in the box? Nobody! For what you pay at one of these fast food establishments nowadays it should be on point. Top quality, care takin by staff and selection! I assure you it was not! Guys in the back were more concerned about talikg and getting me out to leave them alone. Whoever put the burger patty that was sitting there for hours on my burger should understand this is the reason they work at Harvey’s in the first place.
We all need to say no to the big fast food chains until prices come down and they are willing to put some quality food out! It’s a joke to pay almost $20 for a burger and fries that are half rate!
Check out Burgers priest and you won’t eat at Harvey’s again!
Do better Harvey’s! You...
Read moreI visited the Harvey’s at Upper Ottawa and Rymal in Hamilton on August 19th around 5:10 PM to pick up my online order. When I went inside to collect it, the server (name tag: Ava D) told me that I should only enter the restaurant once the order is marked ready on their end. I was taken aback by her tone and asked to speak with the manager to confirm if this was an actual policy. The manager clearly told me there is no such rule.
I raised my concern that the server scolded me unnecessarily, and the manager said she would “talk to her.” However, as I was leaving, I noticed both the server and the manager laughing while looking at me, which made me feel mocked, disrespected, and discriminated against.
This kind of behavior is completely unprofessional and unacceptable in a customer service environment. As a paying customer, I expect courtesy and respect, not humiliation. I strongly urge Harvey’s management to take this matter seriously and review the staff conduct at...
