Updat II: They sent an email right after last update, $50 off next visit. I'm good, think I'll re-gift it.
Update: Customer service reached out to me via e-mail about my review. They asked about a good time to call me about my visit, I gave them my window of availability, and they said it works. About a week has gone by, and no effort has been made to reach out to me like they said. You lose another star.
Took the family out for my brother's birthday because he likes Kelseys. This location disappointed us. The staff are the only thing this place has going for it. Our server was quick to help us, and management compensated us 10% of our dinner. However, when our food was brought out, some of our mains came out with the app. This left some of us sitting on our hands, waiting for everyone else's mains to come out. It was freezing inside, multiple guests, and staff were overheard complaining, even the food lost extremely fast. Most of the meals people were satisfied with, but the apps lacked a wow factor in flavor. The Buffalo chicken potato skins were drenched in a sour cream sauce, no hint of buffalo flavor, and nothing like the image presented online. The cajun fried shrimp you can tell they are trying with this item, but there is so much stuff fried to this dish it was difficult to tell where the tail was, or if you had removed enough of it. Yes, I ate a couple of tails, absolute turn off, and I'm getting the heebie geebies just thinking about it. The mains that had chicken were utter disappointments. My wife had chicken wings, and my thumb from the tip to the first knuckle had more meat on it. It was just so small and unsatisfactory - that's what she said.... I'm a big fan of Nashville Chicken sandwiches, just not this one. The pickles were thick cut but dry, the whole sandwich was dry; the coleslaw, the meat, the bread. The bread was so dry it was falling apart, almost stale. There was no spice to it. It lacked season and sauce. A proper Nashville should be worn as well as eaten. If my family wants to eat here again, I would rather avoid them than...
Read moreKelsey’s used to be our neighbourhood go-to. But after a bad experience last winter and another in the spring, we swore it off entirely. Months later, we thought—maybe it was a one-off. Let’s give it another shot. Big mistake.
We waited over 20 minutes before anyone even greeted our table. It wasn’t busy.
Another 15 minutes for beers to arrive—and when they did, every single one was wrong. We had to taste-test them ourselves just to figure out whose was whose.
Finished our appetizer (the spinach dip—still full price but noticeably smaller than it used to be), ordered another round of beers… and then waited. Meanwhile, our server stood chatting with another employee about personal stuff in full view and earshot. After 15 minutes, the beers finally showed up—completely wrong again. A Stella arrived as a wheat beer. Coors Original came as something citrusy. Cue another round of “guess the beer.”
My husband eventually went to the bar himself. The manager admitted the beers were “clearly” wrong, yet no apology was offered. Another 12 minutes passed before the correct ones arrived. The server simply said, “I don’t know what was wrong with the keg, we just repoured it and now it’s right.” Sure.
Meals arrived. Mine and my husband’s were fine, although the upcharge for exactly five onion rings was laughable. Then my brother-in-law bit into a chicken wing and swallowed something sharp that scraped the back of his throat. Fantastic.
Throughout the entire meal, our appetizer plates were never cleared. We ate our mains with dirty dishes still on the table—and our dinner plates weren’t cleared either, even long after we’d finished eating, paid our bill, and were clearly ready to go.
No apology. No acknowledgment. No reason to...
Read moreWent last Thursday for half priced wings with a group of friends. The food was fine and Charlie our server was excellent as always. This is a regular group thing and we have been coming to this location for years now as we are locals, and also bring our families on a regular basis. I am a Type 1 diabetic and suffer from diabetic neuropathy in my lower legs and feet. I stretched my legs out and placed my smooth soled flip flops on the front edge of the booth opposite my seat in an attempt to relieve my leg pain. The GM (Amit) strode up to me and, with hands on hips, asked me "Are you comfortable?" and then proceeded to scold me as if I was a small child jumping up and down on the seats. Our whole group was speechless and after he stalked off it became the topic for the rest of our stay. I didn't react and just put my feet down. At first I was inclined to let it go but then he repeatedly walked near the table to table to stare at me until we finished our food. I doubt that this would be part of the training on how to deal with customers and we started to wonder if he also attemps to bully/intimdate his staff members as well. Inappropriateat any time to attempt to intimidate and shame othrs as a General manager. Would not be surprised to hear this was a regular thing, but I hope that it is not. It could have been easily resolved by a quiet approach and a simple private...
