Oct 29th approximately just after 5:00pm. My boyfriend and I came into buy our drinks and it was relatively quiet for a Sunday evening. Once ordered, we were waiting for our drinks and another woman (who had just ordered) was walking to the waiting are where the drinks are given out..but before even reaching where we were, the barista from behind the counter handed the woman her iced chai drink. Point? Well the woman ordered after us and it was clear that they knew each other. They were talking, laughing etc. while my boyfriend and I stood there...waiting for our drinks to be made and given to us. I even heard the barista tell Amanda (her colleague and the person who took our order) that the woman used to be her math teacher.Skipping customers because you know the next person in line is extremely rude. I am very disappointed at the lack of service from these three and because of this, I will not be returning to this location. All three women behind the counter engaged in this conversation while two drinks that were already ordered were sitting there waiting to be made. Starbucks upholds a high level of customer service and this time, does not even warrant giving one star but since I have no choice, I have to put...
Read morejust had an atrocious experience here followed by an even worse customer service remediation. this store is moderately large but unfortunately in a coffee rush, fills up quick which is understandable. of course that being said, you'd expect in such high volume periods that chairs wouldn't be reserved for peoples purses and other tables wouldn't be reserved for a management team to just sit about when there's a line up out the door waiting for coffee orders. i work in the industry and typically in such busy time, not only would management make space for guests but they may help with the coffee rush??? Not at this location-- the extremely friendly and obviously-customer service oriented manager Sam (added sarcasm) just sits about and watches while customers are overtly rude to one another and gets involved only to sanction silly behaviour. Not an excellent experience, id certainly recommend additional clarity as pertains to social distancing tables-- judging by the flimsiness of the experience i had, it would seem that the social distancing rules here are flexible to the whims of the managerial...
Read moreStarbucks is now generally among my least favourite places to get coffee. First they eliminated sodium cyclamate sweetener which has no bitter aftertaste in favour of Splenda, aspartame, Stevia, and every other sweetener that tastes foul . The only reason I go here is because at least it will be of a reasonably acceptable quality, but it requires that I I bring my own Sugar Twin, Sweet N Low, or no name sodium cyclamate sweetener. Worse yet, they eliminated the 18% cream in favour of offering only 10% cream or milk, which I can get at home. The problem is I cannot drink more than two cups of Starbucks coffee anymore without getting an upset stomach. No matter which variety you order it all seems to be generally over-roasted. I used to be a Tim Hortons fan but then they changed their roast, too. Nowadays the only consistently good quality, and good-tasting coffee I can find is at McDonald's. What does that say about Starbucks plan to dominate the industry in providing good quality coffee to the world?...
