As a Lao person who misses home cooked meals, I like to try all the Viet and Thai places in the area. We've been here once before and I didn't love it, but my bf insisted we come back since he likes the crispy duck. This time, they didn't have duck on the menu and we ordered curry pad Thai, pho and Thai style beef salad. Hear me out. Usually when they have beef salad on the menu at a Thai restaurant, they serve laap, which is beef, with a bunch of herbs (mint, cilantro, green onion), fresh chili with lemongrass, galanga, Lime leaf, etc, and you eat it with sticky rice. But it was literally a salad that you could buy at Fortinos with grilled beef. My bf and I looked at each other in disbelief when it was served to us. The pad Thai was mediocre but the pho was good. The place was so busy. We prob should have known it was catered to white ppl and was not at all authentic when we saw the crowd. So moral of the story, if you are looking for authentic Thai food, this is not the place. But if you are not very adventurous in your taste buds, this place seems to be the place to go.

Seriously, if you're in Hamilton and haven't tried Lemongrass Restaurant, you're missing out! My recent visit was just fantastic. The service was top-notch from start to finish – super friendly and made us feel genuinely welcome without hovering. It's rare to find service that good these days. But the food? Oh my goodness, the food was even better! Every single dish we ordered was absolutely delicious, packed with incredible flavour, and just perfectly cooked. You can tell they use fresh ingredients and really put their heart into what they're making.

Should have read further into reviews as this food is not Thai. Ordered pad Thai and Thai fried rice (spicy), both had the exact same flavor which was heavy ketchup forward and zero spice, not to mention the noodles appeared to be spaghetti-like. Other dishes included fresh rolls and red Thai curry, both were disappointing and included a rice portion barely enough for one. Our group included GF diners and I really wanted to enjoy this, as there are numerous gluten free options, unfortunately will never order from here again.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. My experience was terrible. I placed a take-out order. I ordered one large chicken noodle soup. After picking up my order and returning home I realized the order was not correct. I have ordered several times from this restaurant and know what to expect from my order. Usually there are two separate containers. One with broth the other containing noodles and chicken. This particular order I received two containers. One container contained broth like usual. The other container contained chicken, noodle, soup broth and other spices and had been pre-mixed almost as if it was somebody's Left overs packaged up to go home. I phoned and asked if I could return my soup and I was questioned immediately and was told that that was impossible. I returned my soup and again was told that this mistake was impossible. I was quite upset considering all I had done was ordered some soup and now I was being accused of returning a second soup? Very rude. The lady behind the counter was adamant that they had been in business for a long time and that this mistake was impossible And continue to insult me by letting me know that it wasn't possible. I confronted her and let her know that we have to use some common sense here and have to question why would I make this up? I then asked for my money back and made the point, what have I gained out of this experience except wasting my time! Thank God I captured some of this on video and will be posting it on social media shortly this is terrible all they had to do was...

Horribly disappointing. The pan fried egg noodles with chicken (#26) was actually a very dry, reheated spaghetti (not egg noodles) sparsely scattered with a few soggy small, overcooked vegetable pieces and very few morsels of chicken - tons of salt and not appetizing. The beef broccoli (#46) was a soggy mess with not even a hint of the promised "light coconut sauce" but instead was comprised of overcooked frozen broccoli that tasted boiled, not stir-fried, a few onions and tender, but tasteless beef in a gloppy, gelatenous gravy reminiscent of canned pet food rather than anything for human consumption. Accompanying these was a small container of very soggy short grained rice (not jasmine rice). The seafood soup was very small but the only saving grace of the entire meal. Worst of all was the surly, uncommunicative staff member who was unprofessional, unhelpful and despite having perfect english (no language barrier to explain attitude), gave only the most profuctory communication in single word sentences - no greeting - no "thank you" - nothing. I would never ever think to waste money again on that restaurant. I can honestly say that a frozen dinner would have been far better. There are several good Thai restaurants out there without this one blotting the...

We have enjoyed ordering takeout food from Lemongrass for many years and on many occasions (even treated our employees at times) to their various scrumptious affordable dishes. However, this time was a disappointment.

We ordered for six people (2 guests) the same favourite dishes we have enjoyed in the past; though these dishes were hot, they did not taste fresh (even the jasmine rice was dry and crunchy) and we ALL experienced upset stomachs from the food afterwards.

The only selection that we ordered which had its same good appeal was the vegetable chicken salad rolls with peanut sauce appetizer. We wonder if perhaps the food just wasn’t as good this time because we ordered a hour before closing. Either way, we are disappointed about our eating experience. Even our guests commented that they have had much better Asian food elsewhere. We decided to be safe and throw out the remaining food rather than keep as leftovers.

We hope our experience was a “one off” for the restaurant and it does not signal a decline in their food quality. We wanted to let management know directly about our experience rather than post a public review online, however we could not find an email address online to use. So, a formal...
