We went here for lunch on Mothers Day for our first time and got there about 11:15am and we were the only table there (understandably as it was pretty early still). By the time we left the restaurant was almost half full and everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. The service was good, and the food....SO good. I couldn't decide on what to order so I ordered two things with the intention of taking leftovers home. I got the small pho with rare beef which was huge and also the beef with eggplant dish which came with a side of steamed rice. My husband ordered the curry glass noodles with beef. We loved everything, the broth in the pho was so tasty but not too salty or fishy as I've had in the past at other Vietnamese restaurants, ingredients were fresh and delicious, and for a small the portion size was much bigger than I expected. The beef and eggplant dish was honestly inedible and I still can't stop thinking about the sauce I was cooked in. It was sooo good. The curry noodles that my husband got were really good but once he tried my eggplant and beef with that sauce he had a little bit of food envy.
We started with 2 fresh salad rolls with grilled chicken and 2 spring rolls as appetizers and they were all great but the fresh salad rolls were the standout with the peanut sauce.next time we are going to get 2 of those each because 1 just wasn't enough.
The best part was our 11 month old son ate little bits of everything! We will definitely be back as the price was more than reasonable for the quantity and quality of what we got. Very happy with...
Read moreThis was one of my husband's favorite places to eat, we were excited to see the new renos so we stopped in with an hr to spare to eat, on the evening of May 29th. The renos look great! Really freshened up the place!
We both ordered the V2 beef satay, his with vermicelli and mine with rice. He also ordered a large hot and sour soup with chicken.
About 15 minutes later the waitress comes over with some kind of rolls that we did not order, we again explained what we ordered.
She comes back 12 minutes later with a huge plate of beef and onion and a small bowl of rice and my husbands soup.... i questioned what she gave me bc this isnt what i ordered, i explain what I've ordered AGAIN. She gives some off reason why she messed up, took the food with her to put in my order again.
As we're waiting for our order we realize that she gave my husband hot and sour soup with seafood instead of chicken. 3RD MESS UP.
Literally everything we ordered was wrong at least once. By this time we've run out of time to dine in due to all the mistakes and have to get everything to go.
We pay and leave, get home have to chuck it in the fridge to eat later. Looking at the receipt I see they charged us for food we didn't even order, so we now have to rush back to the restaurant to get our money back and were late to our evening plans.
We eat out often and understand humans make mistakes, its all good but this, this was unacceptable. Its YOUR menu, our order was extremely simple to understand. This put a real damper on our night, we were hungry, not sure if we will...
Read moreUpdated review Sept 8, 2024 We went back again (this is our 4th time... this is our go to place). I finally tried their Pho (with well done flank and rare beef), it was hands down one of the best, if not the best Pho I had. I've never been Vietnam, but lived in Toronto, Vancouver, and had Pho in LA, San Fran, Garden Grove, NYC, all around the Bay Area (around San Fran), and eaten my fair share of Pho. The broth was so rich and had a deep flavor. I complimented the Pho and the host told me they cut no corners when making it (meaning they use bones and etc, no powders or ready made stock) and you can taste it.
The house special Bun had been my go to, but I want to try everything on their menu now. I highly recommend Made Pho You.
When leaving, I told the host (who recognized us! ^__^), see you next time!
Older review made in July, 2024 It was our 1st time here, the host was very kind and attentive. He was the only one working the front (Sunday) and we witnessed him work butt off! He still smiled, joked and have everyone the attention we got.
The food was great! We had the house special vermicelli, pho, and iced coffee... this is our new go to spot. We drove over from Oakville to just try this place....
