Mega Subs — Restaurant in Hamilton

A few years ago I ordered a turkey sub with lettuce, tomato and mayo (my usual) got home to find half of my sub didn't have turkey... their subs were cheap and I didn't feel like going back to complain, so I just shrugged it off and stayed away. Finally went back today to give them another shot, figured everyone has bad days, ordered the same, the price had doubled which was a surprise but I just paid and took it, once home opened it up to find cheese on it. I hate cheese and turkey, and my boyfriend who I was splitting with has a severe dairy allergy, now as it was a ten dollar sub rather then just a few bucks tossed away, we went back to get it replaced, all good, very kind service and nice people... however upon finally biting into our dinner we found the price may of doubled but the quality was gone, the mayo was sweet yet bitter, tomatoes tasted off and the bread tasted old. Haven't tried their other options, but their subs aren't worth the price, especially now that the price is the same as their big brand...

very rude customer service. i was berated for changing my mind on what i ordered, even though i changed my mind before they started making the order, which should normally be no problem. lots of yelling and swearing from the workers behind the counter, even when they are talking about the customer. when there was a slight confusion on the toppings of my salad, the woman making it got angry and gave me none of the toppings i asked for, instead she threw it down on the counter and gave me a plain salad. sadly i had already paid, or i would have walked out. being charged before the food was made feels like robbery. sad because this was my favourite sub shop, but thankfully Hamilton has plenty other local sub places for me to spend my money.

Mega Subs is hands down the BEST sub shop in town! Every time I visit, I’m blown away by the quality, freshness, and massive flavor packed into every bite. The bread is always perfectly fresh and soft with just the right amount of crunch, the meats are stacked generously, and the toppings (especially the crisp shredded lettuce) are always super fresh and vibrant.

The team here is fantastic — fast, friendly, and they clearly care about making every order just right. You can tell they take pride in their sandwiches, and it shows!
