Feb 22/25
We used to come here as regulars, big family b-days. On avg 12-16 people for birthdays. The last few visits have been sub-par, but today was the worst. The other family arrived at 3:17 we arrived late and tried to call in our orders so that when we arrive they would be plating us about the same time as everyone else. They had no idea what party we were since there was so many happening and couldn’t do that, so we didn’t. (Ironically 2 other tables were in use and we were the only ‘party’), but they had no idea ‘what/who our party was so couldn’t take our order. We arrive 4:10 and our orders were taken about 10min later 4:15/4:20pm. So the rest of the family waited about an hour for someone to take their orders. Father didn’t get his order, we had to flag down another server and point out that we were half way done and our father was still waiting for his food. Fish and chips 2 piece order. His finally arrived with 1 piece. 2nd came about 20min later. Brother ordered fish and chips as well, looked good till you cut into it and the fillet was meager-and all batter, the fish batter was oozing oil that is was cooked in, so he didn’t finish it. Husband ordered burger/fries and gravy and the gravy didn’t show up till near the end, so it went onto cold fries from waiting and it was gross, like what you would imagine wall paper paste would taste like. We had to keep flagging down another waitress to get our needs taken care of refills of coffee/pop etc Our waitress and another were too busy arguing behind the register. You couldn’t see them from sitting, but going to the rest room you could see it/hear it. Our family has all agreed that we won’t be coming back, most people’s food wasn’t finished, service was sub-par as well as some food were sub-par as well. I’m disappointed because this was my mother-in-laws favourite place. We are always excited to go. Been going for about 8/9yrs now and the last few, seems that it’s just going downhill in service and quality of food. I’m not sure what has changed, but the last year/2 years it’s been slowly going down hill. Sadly disappointed that we’re scratching this place off our list of favourite...

Mustangs in Stoney Creek is a local institution, a true community staple for decades. It's no surprise then, that the familiar atmosphere and friendly service haven't changed a bit. While the décor might be due for a refresh, the focus here is clearly on providing classic comfort food done well.
Comfort Classics Done Right:
My recent visit to Mustangs reminded me exactly why it's a local favorite. We dove into their signature chicken sandwich, and let me tell you, it lived up to the hype. The massive portion arrived piping hot, with all the ingredients perfectly stacked on a fresh bun. Each bite was a delicious combination of textures and flavors - a true must-have for any Mustang's first-timer.
A Feast for Nachos Lovers:
We also couldn't resist their legendary nachos. This appetizer is no small feat! A mountain of crispy chips is piled high with a generous portion of toppings, ensuring everyone at the table gets a satisfying helping. While the salsa could benefit from being house-made, the overall flavor combination was delicious.
A Place Where Everyone Feels Welcome:
The service at Mustangs is another reason it's a community hub. Our server was attentive and friendly, making sure our experience was enjoyable. While some of the sides might be pre-made, classics like their ribs (highly recommend!) prove that Mustangs knows how to deliver quality on the plate.
Mustangs might not be a place for cutting-edge culinary creations, but for those seeking comforting flavors and friendly service in a familiar setting, it absolutely hits the spot. It's a Stoney Creek institution for a reason, and I have no doubt it will continue to be a local favorite for...

Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, she was able to accommodate my "condiments on the side" fussy request without any issue. Even when an issue did pop up (there was a hair in the sauce of our ribs) she was super apologetic and insisted that we get a fresh new batch asap. The ribs were comped and we ended up taking the new food to go.
