Panini & Ice Cream — Restaurant in Hamilton

Update: this review is actually for the convenience store attached to P&I and owned and run by the same family.

I am sad to say I won't be patronizing your establishment's again.

Today when I went to the convenience store with my 11 month old, I struggled to open the door and get the stroller through. The owner literally stood watching me and did not offer to help. I definitely understand social distancing but you can surely open the door and stand behind it. Nope.

Then he stood about 1 foot away from me as I grabbed 3 drinks. So you clearly aren't observing social distancing.

Leaving the store was more of the same. Watch me struggle with the door. Offer no help. But this time was even better because as I struggled to get out a maskless senior citizen recently dismounted from his Rascal scooter tried to force his way in. Delightful. Again, maybe step forward and say "Sir, perhaps let this lady by first? And where is your mask? Nope. Just stood and watched.

Donezo. Won't be buying anything from either store again.

This place was awesome!

My fiancée and I spent the day in Hamilton and stopped here as I had tried it before and I remember it being really good. The paninis are very creative. From smoked meat to Doritos, you'll find yourself having a very difficult time choosing what to order. It's also worth mentioning that the paninis were delicious. I'd order another one in a heartbeat. My fiancée got a chicken ranch panini and she was very satisfied.

Next, we got some ice cream and it was out of this world. I got a scoop of salty dawg (salted caramel ice cream with rolos) and a scoop of chocolate caramel fudge brownie. It was just the right consistency and tasted delicious. Between the two titular items, I'd say the ice cream is the highlight but the paninis are still really delicious.
