I have lived in Hamilton my entire life and have had the opportunity to try countless pizza restaurants, including some of the more well-known and often-praised establishments such as Kawabanga Tony G’s for Chicago-style pizza. While I have no criticism of them or others, I feel compelled to express my sincere appreciation for a true hidden gem in our city: Paulie’s Wings and Pizza.
From the moment you walk in, the difference is unmistakable. The owner is consistently present, ensuring that quality and care are never compromised. The staff welcome customers with genuine warmth, and it is clear that only the finest ingredients go into every dish. The Donair is one of the most flavorful I have ever had—the pita is generously filled, overflowing with perfectly seasoned meat, never leaving you feeling shortchanged.
The pizzas are equally outstanding. The dough is fresh, soft yet crisp, and made daily with unmistakable attention to detail. Each slice is loaded with rich, gooey cheese and toppings that strike the perfect balance of flavor. Every bite is the kind that makes you pause and appreciate the craft behind it.
This is more than just a pizza shop; it is a place where quality, consistency, and customer care come together. Today, for example, my wife had prepared a beautiful steak dinner at home, yet as I drove past Paulie’s, I couldn’t resist stopping to pick up a pizza. It wasn’t to replace her meal, but rather to complement it—because the flavor and satisfaction of a Paulie’s pizza are simply irresistible.
Bravo to the entire team at Paulie’s Wings and Pizza. Thank you for providing Hamilton with such a rare treasure in the...
Read morecan I put less than 1 star? ok so I'm born and raised in nova scotia home of the donair. I read the menu and it says halifax donairs, claiming there everything you would get in halifax nova scotia. I ordered a regular donair and was excited, I've been looking for a real donair for the five years I've lived in hamilton. so I was super pumped to have a real donair, I got the donair and wow was I surprised. not only was the donair the claim to be a halifax donair a lie, it was frozen donair meat. this place claims on there menu fresh never frozen, this is a lie. 75% of the menu is frozen products from wholesale, among these products is the donair meat the claim is halifax donair meat. a real donair found in nova scotia and very standard there. is on a meat spit and spins they have to cut or shave pieces of and grill them to order. these pieces were the exact same donair meat I buy at wholesale for 20 bucks a box with about 175 to 200 pieces in it. for this place to claim fresh never frozen and to call that a halifax donair, is a complete lie and they should remove these lies from there menu. I would really like to hear from the owner about why hes lying to his customers and selling them frozen products, he claims to be fresh never frozen. this place should be a do not eat at store if your looking for real fresh food...
Read moreFor anybody who doesn’t know, this place is under new ownership now. I just came back from vacation and thought I would have paulies today since i go there every week only to realize it’s under new ownership. It doesn’t say that anywhere on the site or in the store, so I was kindve surprised. Anyways I got the lunch special thinking it’ll be the same as it was under the previous owners only to get home, open it and see the differences. First off, the wedges that they had before (which I loved) are now soggy fries, which did not seem like they were freshly made. I think the reason why they were that way was because the guy at the register, who said he was the owner, did not give me the right order at first, he gave my order to a customer that was waiting there before me and then gave me that customers order, which seemed like it was sitting outside for about 10-20 min before I even got there. The wings tasted the same but they were cold as well. At least tell your customers that the store is under new ownership so they don’t go through the same terrible experience as I did. I probably won’t be going here again since the food isn’t the same quality as...
