You know what to expect. Greasy chicken hot from the frier where every bite is like biting into a sponge of seasoned oil. Any chicken flavour is likely a hallucination brought on by the blockage of an artery. The options are regular or spicy... but if honesty were a thing moat people can't tell the difference between them, unless the owners have changed the oil recently, otherwise you're just tasting the cooking oil.

The side options are about as good. Cheese Macoroni swimming in sause. A biscuit that has twice the calories of a small bag of fries only because it too is fried in oil.

Thankfully you can get a diet drink to wash this all down, although if they stocked cold Pepto Bismal you could save yourself some...

Dinner at home took a turn for the worse (Food company at our cottage social didn’t show up) and we ended up coming to this Popeye’s location as it was close by and open late (until 10pm). Called ahead to make sure it wasn’t an error on the google search that they were closing at 10pm. Person on phone said “yes, 10, byeeeeeee”. So we drive 24minutes to grab food for my kids and I there. Arrived at 9:26pm. OPEN sign on. As I approached the door a woman came rushing to the front door waving me off and she clicked off the open sign and scurried back inside. VERY disappointed. I ordered 3 sandwiches over skip. The bag only contained 2. When I called the restaurant to get it resolved, I was first transferred from the manager to the individual who packed it and back to the manager, both of whom were blaming the driver despite the bag being sealed and no evidence of tampering. When I told them that there was an item missing, they continued to avoid taking responsibility and continued to ask me to “check the bag” despite having been told 3 times it wasn’t there.
