BEST NIGHT OUT ON THE TOWN, HANDS DOWN:
10/05 stars. This in my FAVOURITE bar/restaraunt/karaoke place in the world. (Not that I've been outside of Hamilton much). Hahaha.
I went here for my 19th birthday (you can reserve the big middle party table for parties). Ever since, (I am now 28+) my favourite or best nights on the town are spent at Tracie's Place.
The atmosphere is amazing. If you love rock n roll, and old time fun, you will notice it as soon as you settle in or enter. They have the best chicken wings for an amazing price. Very tasty, and large. They are not dainty by one bit. Finger lickin' good.
All the other food is great too. I love the roast beef dinners (hot beef, and more). They don't have meatloaf all the time, it's a special, but when they have it .... mmmmm. The battered mushrooms, deep friend pickles, gar par fries, dill pickle fries, - OH, the list goes on and on.
Everyone loves to sing here. It is genuinely enjoyable to hear the voices of those that love to have fun with karaoke. I feel famous at Tracies. My friends would say "you are famous at Tracies" LOL.
Tracie is a wonderful, beautiful singer herself. She is usually present at the bar, and she runs the place very well. So, I love when she is around.
They also have all kinds of fun events planned out for the month. (Pool tournaments, poker, bingo, open Mike and much more). Super fun.
I try to take a photo of the schedule/calendar near the stage, or follow on Facebook to keep an eye out for fun events.... especially for meatloaf night! I wish Tracie's Meatloaf was always available!
I should also add- I've never been creeped on, or felt uncomfortable at Tracies with other customers. It is a place of love for all, no judgement, no hate, and should feel at home here.
FEEDBACK/CRITICISM - IMPROVED:
The only feedback I can give to improve, is in the past (hopefully this has improved) the food for delivery is never as good as dining in. I tend to refuse delivery and would rather dine in or pick up for take out. ... still better dining in vs. Take out/Delivery.
Some time ago, there was some experiences with waitresses seemingly being under the influence/drunk when serving when Tracie was not around. This was during covid or prior. I once went for my 26th birthday here, brought my sister and father. They both complained about the way the waitress was. Remember this was 2 yrs ago or so.
(Usually you eat for free on your b-day, but this night I did not get the free b-day dinner as expected, but I was too embarrassed to say anything as my family and friends all know how much I love Tracie's). I don't feel this has been a problem with the waitresses/servers since Tracie hired or replenished her team.
I must add, my sister complained about this to my mum who knows tracie. My mum went to Tracie to advise her of the situation. I was told Tracie offered to make things right by inviting me for a dinner or the house. ... when I went back following this rare poor experience, I never brought it up as I never had issues before.
I just thought good to mention, as other people I know have also had this complaint, or feedback and don't go to Tracies any more because of it. Therefore, I think best to acknowledge this as a TREMENDOUS Tracie's Fan, and let everyone know how it's no longer a problem, and that they should GET BACK TO TRACIE'S for the best night out on the town!
Thanks so much for running such a lovely facility, Tracie, and all the servers who work hard to support...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. Myself and two friends chose to be responsible and get a ride over… knowing we would be having a few drinks. The minute we went in the one bartender, I believe her name was Megan (who claims she’s a manager… not sure if that’s true or not) she refused to serve us because apparently another bartender said she saw us show up by cab stumbling around. Meanwhile, all three of us arrived completely sober. I was confused by the immediate conflict we were presented with… so I did ask the question… how is us being responsible by getting a ride over here to ensure that we don’t drink and drive at the end of the night since we did intend to have a fun night with some drinks and enjoy a bit of karaoke. However a random bartender targeted and labels us as drunk and stumbling and told everyone to not serve us. To be honest I was completely shocked when we were told they were refusing to serve us what so ever. First fabricated lie was that we were apparently seen stumbling out of a cab… Which is completely false…we got dropped off by a family member in an ordinary car. Not a cab. We arrived and stood offside from the bar and waited our turn till it was a little less busy before we approached the bar just to be turned away and accused of stumbling out of a cab and being too drunk to be served and that no one would be serving any of us. This was a blatant lie since we didn’t even arrive by a cab!! We arrived fully sober and all of a sudden upon entering we were flagged immediately and accused of being too drunk and were informed we would be denied service for the night. We were there for all of 10 minutes. I am aware it was a very packed full house. But I’m completely appalled and disgusted by the service, treatment and attitude we received. If you are at capacity just say that… Don’t fabricate lies. We felt targeted and Centred out. We were publicly embarrassed and felt extremely uncomfortable in the situation since we were put on blast in front of everyone surrounding the bar and having everyone within earshot to stop and stare at us like we were some sort of criminals. This is the second time I’ve visited this establishment and I’m not going to lie… both experiences were awful. Heads up if you want to be profiled, judged and bullied this is the place to be. However, if not…I can confidently say I would never recommend this place of business as I have ZERO good things to...
Read moreFirst off, I just want to point out that I've never reviewed on here; however the experience was just upsetting enough that I felt the need to review it for others whom might go for themselves. Alright. The customer service was fine. Nothing wrong in that regard, but the food and the pricing is a whole different story. I went in with my mother for brunch yesterday and got to my distinct mispleasure was displeased with the order. Upon waiting 22minutes + the meal finally arrived. The "Crunchy" wrap was anything but, and when you ask for "no sauce" so it's not "squishy" you get just that. I could get over the food not being ok that's one thing; HOWEVER what really really really boils my blood is the pricing on the drinks. I ordered the Pepsi and to my surprise get this tall glass. Alright not bad. But it's filled with 3/4 of ice and the smallest amount of pop. I finished that 11 minutes into the 22+minute wait. The aggrovaiting doesn't stop there tho. Oh no it does not! When I ask for a refil I managed to take the time waiting and waiting for the food, I've removed a good amount of ice from the drink and ask for a refil. Sure enough I get a whole new drink, with 3/4ths ice. Now to you out there reading this you might be thinking. Alright well 2.50 is fine if it's a decent amount (without that much ice) and you can keep getting refills right? It's only syrup and water right? HA HA wrong. I was charged for two drinks and in the end drank no more then 355-410ml of drink for the price of 5$. Keep in mind you can get a case of 12 Pepsi ( one can at 355ml) for $4.34.
So my advice until they change the prices, work on the food having a good atmosphere won't mean anything if they can't back it up price...
