Zakynthos Restaurant — Restaurant in Hamilton

If I write a review it's typically due to a poor experience but I've changed recently to include those of exceptional experience and thus was one place that I needed to write about. We both ordered the chicken souvlaki dinners, 21.50 was the cost, (typically I'd order lamb but didn't see it nor did I ask to be honest) The food was very flavourful, the presentation was well done and the portion was enough to keep this well fed man full. The young lady at the cash was very friendly and helpful and patient since it was our first time there. The lady doing the cooking gave us a thumbs up from behind the counter asking if we liked the food and we most certainly did. We had a salad that was well dressed and put together with lettuce tomato red onion and of course olives and feta The flat bread was hot and went really well with the garlic sauce and the taziki. The potatoes were soft but firm and had been cooked throughout with the perfect mix of spices and lemon. The chicken... two large skewers with moist on the inside and a light sear on the outside. I'm a meataterian and there was lots there. The rice was very nice (I added pepper but thats just my personal taste) I prefer going to mom and pop places and we will be back, seeing the owner bring in pop and a 50 lb bag of potatoes you know they all pitch in to make it work. My family and I had the pleasure of dining at Zakynthos Restaurant, and we were absolutely blown away! From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal.

I ordered the chicken souvlaki dinner, and I can honestly say it was one of the best I’ve ever had! The chicken was grilled to perfection, juicy, flavorful, and seasoned just right. The sides were just as amazing: the rice was fluffy, the potatoes were rich and full of flavor, and the Greek salad was fresh and crisp with the perfect amount of feta and dressing.

My husband and kids also loved their meals, and we all agreed that this will definitely be one of our go-to spots for Greek food in Hamilton. We’re already looking forward to coming back soon! If you haven’t been to Zakynthos Restaurant, I highly recommend it You will not be...

This is hands down the best Greek I have ever had in Hamilton! I ordered via Uber eats so I can't speak for service but the food was amazing! I ordered a pork souvlaki on a Pita, a chicken on the rocks, a small Greek fries and extra tzatki and garlic sauce. The pork souvlaki had the perfect portion of meat, veggies and sauce and the meat was moist and flavourful. The Greek fries were perfectly covered with the right amount of feta, Oregano and garlic sauce, which left you with a great mix of sauce and crispy fries. The stars here however are the chicken on the rocks (on rice) and those sauces. The chicken was a bit dry but still bursting with flavour and that rice... I dont know how they cooked it but it this nice smoky flavour that was absolutely amazing! The garlic and Tzatziki sauces were just da bomb, perfectly mixing each element in a beautiful symphony.... I will be ordering again and trying to go in...
