Pita Pit — Restaurant in Hanover

Before I begin, I have worked in the fast food and restaurant industry most of my life. So I am typically understanding of a bad experience, knowing just one X factor can spoil an entire meal. As well the damning effects of bad reviews, so know I don’t post this lightly.

I took my wife out to lunch to pita pit as we do not eat there very often, maybe once a year. The ladies behind the counter were very friendly and quick with the order. (Again as a seasoned cook) The dirty cutting boards were an immediate red flag, but I understand that time is not always a luxury even though it is a necessity. They were out of onions which is a bust for me as there is a grocery store across the street but not the employees fault not responsibility so I did not harass them about this. They pitas were slapped together quickly and in very messy fashion ensuring lettuce filled over half the pita. 30 dollars later we leave with low expectations. Somehow they still were able to shatter them and leave us even more disappointed. The meat was rubbery and inedible and the possible ecoli poisoning filling the the other side overwhelming any chance of enjoying our meal. Again I’m not one to complain even if it’s bad I’ll power through it, but after throwing over half our pitas out I must say we will not return and will be sure to share our experience with anyone...

I am anything but pleased with the experience we had getting our food tonight. When we pulled up there was someone smoking out front, turns out it was the gentleman making our pitas (gross) go inside he is wearing the same hat he just had a smoke in to take and make our orders with no hair net underneath. When he went to get new tzatziki sauce he cross contaminated the containers making it so there was now yellow stuff in my boyfriends tzatziki on his pita. He then went to make my pita and did not change his gloves resulting in that same tzatziki sauce being now put on my pita which I did not want. Picking up the parm he dropped it in to the containers of veggies and did not clean it before putting it back for use or switching the veggies that he just dropped a shaker in to. When wrapping up our pitas they started to split right open and he just smooshed them together as if it wasn’t happening. I have been to this establishment multiple times the employees aren’t always the happiest or friendliest in there but at least they aren’t disgusting. I have also worked fast food and know that not everything is perfect but this many things in one visit is...

First. Of all I would like to say I do not like to give bad reviews based on one visit.normally I am happy with the food and service My wife brought home two pitas they forgot to add the bbq sauce on mine people make mistakes I was craving this sandwich all day really looking forward to it my wife called and explained what had happened and that we are 30 min drive from their establishment and asked if they would rectify this mistake to which their response was WE DONT DO THAT. Imagine that a company that doesn't stand behind their workmanship That did it for me you would think at the very least they would replace or refund the pita with that kind of attitude how are they still in business if I was doing a job and made a mistake.And the customer was unhappy.I would do all I could to make them happy and for that reason alone is why I'm leaving this review can't believe they wouldn't at least offer a refund or replace the sandwich on the bright side hanover does have a subway its just as good in my opinion and a little Bit more easier on the wallet and if they make a mistake they will rectify it shame on...
