Every Saturday morning when I was a kid, my dad would take me, my brother and my sister to Le petit pain to pick up bakery buns and to have a piece of cake. I have the most amazing memories of this place from my childhood. Recently as an adult, on a visit to my parents, I took my partner here so I could show him my favourite place from home. We had brunch, and it did not disappoint. We each ordered the lunch special and we’re blown away by how much food we got for $9 and how delicious it was. If you find yourself in Hawkesbury make sure to fit a visit here into your schedule. You will not be let down. P.S. they still make the same cakes from my childhood. The three options are the rainbow sprinkle vanilla, coffee mocha and chocolate. I...
Read moreI've loved their Milles Feuilles for 30yrs. They cannot be beat! Their service, however, is best described as flippant. You'll feel honoured & smile gratefully as they finally acknowledge your presence- you'll be nice bc you want that food. They will not be nice. But it's still worth the good food.
They do not respond to hello or bonjour from 3feet away. They'll talk to you when they're done talking to each other, or whatever else you've interrupted. 30 years. Over 200 visits. Age 13 to 42. Same great food & Same...
Read moreThe food is absolutely delicious—that’s the main reason I continue to visit this establishment. However, I must point out that the customer service leaves much to be desired. The two ladies working at the counter, probably in their fifties or sixties, don’t offer a very warm service. They often come across as unfriendly and seem unwilling to engage in a respectful or welcoming manner. I understand that everyone has their own personality and style, but in a customer service setting, a minimum level of courtesy and friendliness is essential. It’s a shame, because the overall experience could be outstanding if the service matched the quality of the food.
