Ive eaten here thousands of times with no issue, but tonight i got food poisoning from their food. Resulting in me having to cancel my interview in the morning. Ate at 9:35pm, Its 1am right now. But this isnt what upsets me the most. I called the night shift manager to inform them of the situation and how their food has made me ill.suggested they clean the kitchen thoroughly to avoid making anyone else sick. The response i recieved was far from expected. First off, Jasmeed as she identified herself through prompting, asked which McDonald's i got sick from. Why would I call another restaurant about a problem they didnt have anything to do with? Second she tried gas lighting me by saying "no one else got sick" as if i woke up at 1AM to randomly call McDonald's or to make things up. Then proceeded to tell me how they cook the meat to temp amd blah blah blah. Im not calling to ask how it was cooked im calling to tell you , you made me sick. It was literally the only thing i ate and was deathly ill in 3.5hrs. If you have had food poisoning, it moves fast. Not once did she apologize, not once was she empathetic to making me sick and having me cancel my interview. Because in todays times i cant even go in because we live in a world afraid of "covid". Its frustrating when an establishment makes a customer sick and their response is extremely unprofessional. I dont want free food or anything else. Never asked. What i really wanted was them to take my complaint seriously and clean the kitchen amd maybe apologize for making someone this sick. She is not manager material, needs more training and I will be contacting her superior tomorrow to deal with this situation properly. Being in this type of position requires you to take responsibility for your team and all the good and bad that goes with it. You are required to be the face of the business. Thats your role. Do better. Try caring a little more when you make someone sick. And thanks for helping me miss...
Read moreDon't order a decaf at this burger joint "McCafe" after 9:30 PM. Maybe they are happy to drain the pots of their dregs, but they don't want to brew a cup just before closing. They told me it would take 4 minutes. I included a cheeseburger with my coffee order. The first "cashier" window was closed, I went to the second. I was handed a bag and directed to their park and wait area, I complied. 6 minutes later, an employee came to my car and asked me why I didn't pay. It didn't occur to me, but it was handed a bag, given directions, and the attendant walked away. The employee who walked to my car, who later identified as a manager, accused me of refusing to pay. Is this service that deserves payment? I returned to him his burger and now, refused to accept the order. He responded to this with "So you refuse to pay?" I drove away. I'm a Google Maps Guide, but I haven't been able since an employment injury left me unemployed and prematurely retired, I am also a senior. I just drove across the city to take my wife to work, she's a Home Care Worker with special needs children, and a Senior. She's able to get extra hours if I'm her transport, but I have some meds to take and I need to consume some food. I've stopped regularly at this franchise, and my doctor frowns at sugar and caffeine, decaf it is. Before I joined the army, I enjoyed McDonald's cheeseburgers as a McDonald's employee when I was 17. So, it's late, I'm sore, I have to drive home across the city, and I'm trying not to vomit my meds. I think the Manager could have handled this better, but whatever stresses he suffers, I can't help but think his attitude toward me was racially motivated with age bias. I spent 45 minutes writing a complain to McDonalds Canada about this franchise and another located in Rutherford. I don't go to the Rutherford franchise anymore, now...
