Wanted you to be aware of the terrible customer service we received this past weekend. We were told to pull through to order as the lady was having issues hearing our order. The line up was quite substantial, we waited almost 15 minutes to get to the window. They were busy switching tills and when Paris handed out the machine to pay we said we hadn't ordered she wanted us to pull through, Paris told us to get out of line and park and go inside and order. The other employee right then said no I told them to pull through its ok. Paris then looked at the employee and said you deal with this I cant deal with him. We were flabbergasted that she spoke that way in front of us, I then said that to the other employee, that it was unacceptable to speak about a customer like that right in front of them. She defended the employee by saying that they were very busy, understaffed and had been dealing with rude customers all day, insinuating that we were rude. We responded with that's not really our problem we don't deserve to be spoken about in that manner. She then through her hands in the air and said, I cant deal with you either I will get my manager to serve you. Five minutes later he came to the window, we explained what happened and he apologized and took our coffee order and gave them to us at no charge. His service was fantastic, however the two ladies need a lesson about customer service. I f you cant handle a busy environment you shouldn't be working at a Starbucks. I frequent that location quite often as we travel that way once a week, I have to say I definitely wont be back. Those employees need to...
Read moreThis has got to be one of the worst Starbucks in the entire Fraser Valley.
From personal experience, as well as from friends and family- I advice you not to support this location but instead try one of the awesome local coffee shops or hold out until the next Starbucks. My girlfriend and her friends have gone through multiple times, and I guess women aren't included in the customer connections part of Starbucks at this location? Because unless you drive either a large truck or are a guy, you'll have a back turned to you and no effort even when there isn't any line inside, or immediate task in sight. From my own experience; the attempt at connections is very poor. I didn't know trying to make customer connections was such a hassle, let alone a bit of kindness was too much to expect! If someone is having a bad day then maybe a friendly smile and some small talk would help that person feel seen, but again... If you don't match up to the certain criteria then forget the Starbucks service here in Hope! Even in Chilliwack can I have a fun and interactive conversation and my girlfriend as well, it's a night and day difference. The location in Hope does not follow any standards it seems. And the prices are higher here than other locations in the valley! Unless being met by many unfriendly, rude and bored looking individuals is your thing, wait until the...
Read moreReceived attitude from the female barista with the medium brown ponytail working the bar today at 4.15 pm who called out that the drink I ordered was ready. I politely asked if the drink was made with soy. She condescendingly told me to read the label on the drink, which I did politely out loud to her. She responded and said if it doesn't say soy then it was made with 2% milk. I told her I had specifically asked for soy (twice), as I am allergic to regular milk. She begrudgingly remade the drink. Perhaps she was having a bad day but don't take it out on the next customer. Where has all the good customer service gone to? I was trained as a Starbucks barista over 20 years ago and this is certainly not the type of service that I was trained on. We left the store and my husband had to go back inside to toss some garbage and overheard the same barista giving attitude to another customer who indicated his drink was also made incorrectly. Maybe she should be considering a...
