My wife and I came in on a Sunday evening of a long weekend. The dining area was empty aside from a few patrons sitting around the bar. We liked the decor and were excited to try this place out for the first time. We ordered a double of unbreaded hot (Mach 3) wings. The wings came out after eating 2 of them I determined that there was a flour type coating of some sort on them.
The server had disappeared and never came back to check on how we were enjoying the food. After waiting roughly 5 minutes I had to get up to find someone to mention that we were really not enjoying these wings, especially as we were being charged $3 extra per portion for the unbreaded option.
The kitchen staff mentioned the wings came pre cooked (gross) and swore they were unbreaded. I didn’t buy it. It wasn’t my first time eating wings and I know what a true naked chicken wing is. These weren’t it.
The server finally came by and asked if we wanted them boxed up. I said no, we really didn’t enjoy the wings and asked if we were expected to pay for them. She didn’t have an answer beyond “let me call my manager.”
After the phone call she came back to say that the manager offered 15% off but that we would have to pay for the entire order. I told her that was unacceptable and that I’d like to speak to a manager on duty.
There was none.
She called the manager (aka the owner) back and said that she was on her way.
She sure was. She stormed into the restaurant and immediately complained that we had “taken her away” from a birthday party. This nasty piece of work of a business owner admonished us for having the nerve to complain about the food. She claimed the server called her and told her we were being rude. I disagree. Not once did we raise our voices or make any personal comments. We simply said we weren’t enjoying the food and wanted to speak to a manager. Not to mention the owner’s partner came to admonish me about having the nerve to interact with “his” cook. These are nasty individuals who don’t deserve the support of Alcona. They don’t care to make things right, they serve nasty, frozen and pre cooked wings and they don’t seem to take the responsibility of running a business seriously. Sorry for ruining your “birthday party.” Your business ruined our night and you don’t seem to have any customer service skills.
There is a reason this business was empty on the Sunday night of a long weekend.

Read moreI was at Wing n It in Alcona, Innisfil Ontario on Sunday October 22nd at around 8:00 for dinner. it was my girlfriend and i. It wasn’t very busy and it took about 20 minutes just to get two glasses of ice water. we ended up ordering appetizers, we ordered spinach and artichoke dip and deep fried dill pickle spears. it came out and both of them were cold. They were eatable but still cold. After we finished our cold appetizers. we both ordered boneless chicken wings and they were freezing to the point where it was like they just came out of the fridge. i told the waitress about it and all she did for me was “i can go warm it up in the microwave for you” so obviously we were in shock and she ended up warming them up. The quality of food was great but it was just cold. it was a cold dinner and not very pleasing. I’m hoping something can be done about this because i would like to go back and try this again but it was...

This establishment is quite large and can accommodate larger groups if needed. But the size does not take away from the "local" feel for those looking for a more personal experience.
The staff are friendly and helpful. Very fast and efficient making it easy to get in and out if that is what you are looking for but personable - making you feel as if you have been there many times before.
The food is excellent - Wings were perfect and they have an extensive amount of sauces/styles. They also offer other items such as soup(s), wraps, etc.
Overall, a refreshing new style with friendly employees, and excellent food. Look forward to many more visits...
