BARSIDE Lounge & Grill — Restaurant in Kamloops

We have recently started coming here to watch UFC nights with a couple friends, the last time we were in was about 2 months ago. Tonight our experience was phenomenal. First, the manager Robyn was working her magic running the floor making sure all reservations were organized along with doing her best to accommodate walk in tables. She moved reservations around to squeeze us in. Interior Health had visited them today and told them they had to close every second booth because they dont have plexiglass which is a shame because I believe they would of been a full house and a lot less stressful on the staff with all the reservations they had already gotten until they arrived. Tori-lynn was our waitress and very attentive. We ordered a lot of food almost every hour from the appetizers, main menu, happy hour menu, and drinks non stop and all the food came out hot and amazing. The drinks were super tasty and Tori-lynn was such a good waitress with an awesome personality, she remembered all our orders and they came out in a timely fashion. It was busy when we arrived 6:45 on a Wednesday night, but there were 3 empty tables (2 by the window and 1 in the middle of the restaurant). After waiting to be seated, for more than 5 minutes, the server came to seat us. She became quite rude, when we requested a table by the window, as she told us that those hadn't been wiped yet. We told her that was okay, we would wait until one was wiped down. She then responded in a rude tone "Well you will have to wait then, we are slammed!" We had already stated that we didn't mind waiting for it to be cleaned, as we could see it was busy. Then she disappeared somewhere. There was no need for her to be rude. As we waited another 5 minutes, still there was no sign of any staff cleaning the table, another couple was leaving the restaurant (before eating), because they said they had been waiting for their food to come for over an hour, and could not wait any longer. Covid19 update! Aug 2020.

Went to Barside for an old man at the bar dinner. Was a top notch experience.

The staff were just as friendly as ever, as a frequent patron, the personalized welcoming back was very nice.

The covid measures in place are NOT intrusive and weird like some places.

There is plexiglass at the bar now, which im OK with, i didnt find it to distracting or in the way.

I stayed for the hockey game, ordered the Barside Burger and waffle fries, add bacon 🥓 and some fine Steamworks IPA.
