Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Kamloops

__ this place usually pretty good miss one night I go there just like normal I'm right you just drive through on my bike because the storefront closer customers at such a late hour so I continue to order $50 plus and food and dessert. Got toll to just pull ahead cuz it was a big order understandable but then we were waiting for a little while I know you started noticing drive to customers and going through and I'm not talkin to the two people behind Lake 7 rate cars I'm like wondering did they free outdoor my money is not good enough because I'm on a bike so go to drive to window and ask are we getting our order they do not know my order When I was talking with the one who took my order she read it back it was right I even made sure about you having a number 8 meal so it finally came up front with her order 35 minutes through drive thru it was given to us really quick and then all I hear a car Speedway before leaving I go to the bag just to make sure it's right it wasn't one hamburger Missy end the whole number 8 meal so you're back to the drive-thru window I say what what's up where's my hamburger and the gentleman continues on telling me he can't give me my hamburger because I already ate 1 he continues on telling me did I ate a hamburger so I asked to talk to the manager and guess what a speeding car earlier on the one who took my order originally that was the manager quick to drop my dinner to me and leave so they pretty much ignore me close the door turn the lights off and pretty much ignored me when I knock on the door tell him yes so Dairy Queen sucks balls very rude very judgemental just all-around rude oh okay another thing at the bottom of the menu board in small print it says they are supposed to tip over your blizzard to show it stays in the cup yeah we called them on that he didn't do it so we told about to call Princeton he gave us to Dilly Bars I told this to begone so all said and done some of the alright dinner for other people not me I didn't get my number a meal but apparently I ate a hamburger I had a jelly bar was supposed to be a blizzard bye. Over $50 spent just a joke two...

A good Dairy Queen. The majority of the time I use the drive through, and the review is based on this. Drive through is sub-optimally placed, and due to parking lot/street layout there is often a line of cars that extends to a roadway. This is often accentuated by long wait times to get your ordered food; a ten minute wait is not unexpected when you get in line here. The drive through window is also placed very high, feeling like it was I tended for pickup trucks or taller vehicles. This doesn't make a huge difference, but it does somehow catch me by surprise every time. The last point I'll touch on is minor, and at no fault of the restaurant. The location is in a semi-sketchy part of town, and the drive through boarders an alleyway. Lots of less than friendly looking bikers and people walking, but beyond optics they nothing but polite. There is a chain link fence between the ally and the drive through, so while there is no real danger, I have known people of lesser constitution to be uncomfortable with their surroundings. Finally, the food. DQ is honestly one of the best fast food places in town. Large portion sizes, flavorful meals, and delicious ice cream. Its nothing mind blowing, but it is consistently tasty and well cooked in my experience. There is the odd burger that comes out a bit sloppy from the wrapping and sauces, but if you wanted a clean and immaculate eating experience you wouldn't be at a fast food restaurant on the Kamloops North Shore.

Tl;dr - drive through is suboptimal, but the food is good enough...

The north shore location has been repeatedly disappearing and unsatisfactory. Repeatedly I've had orders messed up. The other day I went in with my son for dinner and ice cream. The music playing was not kid/family friendly that was playing in the restaurant. In the middle of my order the manager (I believe her name is sarah. Short pink colored hair.) Rudly interrupt my order to tell the cashier rudly and abruptly to get off cash. Then again when we when to get our ice cream she was yelling at the back kitchen when she was in the front of the store. Very unprofessional. On a separate occasion I ordered a cake. Three days in advance. I was assured it would be ready for pick up. When I went in to get the cake it wasnt even started. Again the same manager on duty that took my order and was present for my picking it up. She had to do a quick job (20mins I stood there and waited) to get the cake ready. Resulting the cake being melted by the time it got to its destination! My sons 2nd birthday cake was soup!!!!. When I called to inquire about this she refused to do anything about. She said being the melted cake back. Who in there right mind is bring a melted cake back to the store!. She didnt even try and rectify the issue. To say the least I'm not a happy customer with the north shore...
