Time and time again, customer service is absolutely exceptional, always very welcoming and friendly and service is fast and very efficient :). 5 stars for service!
We thoroughly enjoy the miso soup and sunomono salads, as well as their fresh tasting special rolls and their gyozas are crispy and delicious with a light tangy dipping sauce. Best prawn tempura we’ve ever had anywhere, and their vegetable tempura is also great although I wish they had more vegetables than just carrot, pumpkin, and sweet potato. Would love to see zucchini, mushroom, asparagus, green bean, cauliflower…….The tempura dipping sauce is amazing. Edamame serving is huge! Presentation always beautiful. Sushi rice and rice noodles can on occasion be undercooked. 4 stars for food!
Recently we were there and noticed that things really needed cleaning: the front door glass was really dirty and first impressions mean a lot. Walls and steps inside really dirty. They recently put china condiment bottles on every table—although they are very cute and stylish, we found them sticky and covered in spills from other people using them and nearly empty of ginger and wasabi and soya sauce and very very unhygienic. Now that we have all learned so much about germs, contagions & contamination after the pandemic (and the virus isnt gone yet!), I think putting these out is a big mistake. Read moreI will absolutely never be eating here again. Took almost an hour for us to start receiving our food, and about an hour and a half to get all of it. Multiple tables that came in after us were served and left before we got any of our food. The men at the sushi bar continuously yelled at our waitress when she checked to see what was taking so long and when we talked to another waitress about our bad experience she tried blaming our original waitress when she was doing nothing wrong. They brought us the wrong food multiple times and the men at the sushi bar kept yelling at the waitress when THEY made the food wrong. She didn't write it down wrong either, she looked at each item we ordered on the menu, wrote it down and showed me what she wrote to confirm that's what we wanted. She was lovely and did nothing wrong. What's worse is they didn't do anything to make our experience better and over charged us. They charged us for the food they brought us that we didn't even order. Other restaurants would have given a complentary dish or given a discount but they stayed firm with the bill. None of the food we received was good either. Absolutely unimpressed! I'll stick to my usual place Eden Bento Cafe...
Read moreI came here yesterday for the all you can eat (AYCE) and it was a great experience! The inside of the restaurant has been renovated and is now very clean-looking and aesthetically pleasing. They even have tatami rooms. The AYCE was a good price ($25) and the drinks were discounted when you go this route over their regular menu. The food was delicious and with good portions for AYCE. However, the best part of the meal was the incredibly kind staff and owner. They were very attentive and went out of their way to make you feel comfortable and get you anything you needed.
The only negative thing about my experience was a very rude group of people sitting near us who didn't take the time to understand the menu, spent the entire time complaining loudly, and then blamed the staff for not telling them they were ordering too much food. That being said, the staff responded very professionally and went out of their way to wait on these people despite how rude they were. I commend them for that! We will definitely be back.
