Date of visit: 2019/August 16 (Friday) 13:00 This buffet restaurant does indeed caters for Chinese tourist from the Canadian Rockies tour from Super Vacation, Richmond BC. As we didn't join any meal plan from tour and decide to pay and join as last minute it was $20 from the tour guide. The buffet is more on the American Chinese menu item type and huge selection of deep fry food. If you been to Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto or Montreal, the Chinese buffet at these major cities is tastier and variety is huge and can't be compare to the Lotus Inn, while price is cheaper or similar. The decor inside is a bit dated, food for the money value is a bit so-so as we only have 40 mins to eat. Compared to previous photos posted prior to 2019 Aug 16, it look tastier and maybe that day wasn't a good day for tour group as there's wasn't any General Tao chicken, Orange Beef, Crab ragoon (fried cream cheese wonton) for $20 a person. In Montreal, we could get a weekday lunch buffet (Italian + Chinese variety) for $10.99 + tax and...
Read moreWe haven't actually sat in the restaurant for quite some time. We get take out and then drive the hour and a half to get home on our shopping trips. The food is always hot when we sit to eat because these guys package it so well. The packages are so full that everyone can go back for seconds or thirds even and, trust me, we all go back for seconds or thirds because the food tastes great. The prices have gone up $20 or so for combinations (be prepared because their old menu pricing is still on sites) but in today's economy, I guess it's expected. When we treat ourselves to restaurant food, we go here because it is just that...a treat. The last time I stopped, the gentleman who took our order was phenomenal and extremely nice and helpful. I'd go back for that reason alone. It's been a while since I was treated so nicely by anyone in the food/service industry; he...

One problem where can you go on a Saturday night without reservations with a large group? I will tell you in Kamloops it's the Lotus Inn. I heard they do bus tour groups so we called. What a great deal as well very reasonable buffet price. Thanks Lotus for allowing our Celebration of Life continue into the...
