Can I give them a zero?
Worst night out in recent memory. Went there on a Saturday at 10:00pm and it was empty. First thing I noticed was staff talking together and ignoring us. Once we grabbed a table, the server 'Tat' (?) asked if we knew what we wanted - we had never been there before but I guess that didn't dawn on her as a possibility. I said I would like to see a food menu and they said they closed the kitchen - they were still open for 2 hours! But big slap in the face was when a couple came in after us who knew the server, and they got tacos no problem.
I asked the server if there was a dark beer and she said no. So I asked if any of the beers had fruit and again she said no. FYI, almost all their beers have fruit - how does the server not know this?
We ordered the tour of beers. A few were okay but most were nothing special.
While we were trying to enjoy our drinks, the server starts flipping chairs upside-down on the tables - way to make sure we feel unwelcome and ruin the aesthetic of the room! Again, this is 1h45min until closing, according to the sign on the door.
While she wasn't flipping up chairs, the server was yapping loudly with here friends. She was dancing around and being loud which was quite annoying.
At 10:30pm she then put the door sign on closed. She brought the bill to the table with the debit terminal and said 'no rush'. Ya right, no rush! I felt like we were being pushed out the door.

Read moreI was visiting Kamloops for the day, and Iron Road was a great place to stop in for a lunch option.
It has an adequate amount of seating inside, and I didn't notice a patio. I sat at the bar and ordered a flight to start. Their beer selection is fantastic. Nothing too happy, nor nothing too high in alcohol content, which makes me think that they know how to brew good beer.
And I was right. The Beer Run Pale Ale was my preferred choice, but there were great options of all the beers I had.
The food menu mainly consisted of hand-held and lighter meals, which I think pairs well with beer as I don't like too heavy food options when drinking. The quesdillas I chose were great. Lots of flavour and paired with their in-house hot sauce (which was too hot) I was very satisfied after eating.
The service was great. I spoke with a very friendly server who was quick to look after me, and it was rather busy for a Thursday lunch, and I didn't feel I had to wait that long.
If you are visiting during the week between 9-5, parking is limited outside the brewery as it's located in a strip mall and not on its own. There appears to be free parking on the street during these hours, which is nice.
Next time I get back to Kamloops, I will...
Read moreHad a tasting flight followed by a Looper IPA and a brisket and cheddar taco. The looper was my favourite. The brisket and cheddar taco was awesome especially if you like spicy foods. Jalapeños and mango habanero hot sauce kicked that taco into high gear as the brisket met the umami needs.
5/5 please try this place. Customer service was also on point.
——————————————————————————
Looper IPA - Mild smell accompanied by mild mouth taste followed by a stronger finish. Good beginner IPA that would be drinkable throughout the night.
American ipa - delicious, not too heavy but has a nice bitterness to it. Super drinkable. Might be a good ipa for beginner ipa drinkers.
Locomotive lager - Juicy lager, mild smell. Hazy. Good taste to a seasoned beer palette but may be strong tasting for those who aren’t acquainted with their love for beer yet.
Black berry juice train - Light for a sour and more winelike than beer like. Good summer beer and maybe one to trasnsition wine drinkers to beer loving.
Boomer - light to non existent smell (to my horrible nose) and an even more crisp fruity taste! Unexpected lightness for an ale but very delicious. Definitely a...
