"Wok Box" is a Canadian-based fast-casual restaurant chain specializing in Asian-inspired cuisine. The chain was founded in 2004 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and it has since expanded to various locations across Canada and the United States. Wok Box offers diverse dishes inspired by different Asian culinary traditions, including Chinese, Thai, Indian, and Malaysian flavors. Recently, I visited their Kamloops branch and tried one of their dishes, which was pad Thai, and it comes in three sizes: half, regular, and sumo. I ordered the regular one and will attach the menu to the comment section. You will also have the option to choose the noodles, and the possibilities are chow mein, Hokkien, ribbon, and udon. I selected chow mein for the safe side, and the dish preparation time is close to 15 minutes. The dish has a good amount of chicken with crushed peanuts. It is a decent meal, and they also offer some combo. You can also...
Read moreMy partner and I went for dinner and it was a little busy. The food took a little longer than anticipated, but thats to be expected. My partner got her food, and as I was waiting for mine I noticed a few people who ordered after me got their food first. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe their food took less time to make. After more than a few people, I asked if my food was coming soon, to which the response was them looking at the reciepts. They had forgot to start making my food and assured me it would only take 5 more mins. I declined and asked for a refund. They then had some sort of issue trying to give me a refund and he told me he has to call his manager. Then I had to wait even longer, just for a refund. Over all my experience was very poor. The one decent thing that came out of this, was my partner said that her food was good. Still doesnt make up for the experience. Big...
Read moreI occasionally go here but my last visit may well be my actual last visit for good. I hate when businesses as for a TIP BEFORE you even get food. This place doesn't even come to your table to take your order OR bring it to you but still want a tip. A bit annoying on its own. My last visit I did the unusual for me and did not TIP up front just to see what would happen. Just as I thought might happen, my War Wonton soup sucked, mostly broth, it looked NOTHING like the picture at all. I understand most food doesn't but this seemed especially bad. I was going to leave a tip AFTER but my suspicion ended up being correct or they simply suck, one of the two. So IMO buyer beware, in my opinion they modify portion size and such based on your tip, which I...
